thats a review of the M3A regular with the 770 chipset. so hopefully this one is better in many ways

i was also thinking about upgrading to this board, but im still not sure

some quick questions, all K8 related. was the original bios able to adjust the cpu voltage? if so did it work with AOD. and in the new new bios does it let you change the core voltage properly in AOD, or even display the correct voltage in AOD or cpuz

Yes, the orig and the 0406 allow K8 voltage adjust, as well as multi adjust and HT ref.

I am not able to get AOD to work at all with my 5000+ BE on this board with either BIOS. I does report voltage and some other things properly, but it crashes the machine everytime I try to change something.

SpeedFan and CPUz seem to work just fine and report the same results where they overlap.

Just tried it here with a BE-2400.

    Statuspage

Voltage is 1,55V in Bios and 1,456V in CPU-Z. AOD displays 1,2V

    Clock/Voltage Performance Control

If i change cpu or ht multi the system freezes.
I can move the CPU VID slider but after i press apply the slider jumps back to 1,2V.
All other sliders are locked on this page.

Memory timings can be modified and applied however.
