Nah, 8x multi...I just got up, and am a bit sick, sry.

Auto seems to work fine, but the whoel thing of not knowing if it would change something as I clocked...well...that's not OK by me, so I just set the standard auto timings manually. Then you are not left with a guessing game as to what is causing instability...for me, I've not maxed out my ram yet, I'm FSB limited by the cpus i've got now(2x B3 quad, 2x E6600, 1x G0 Quad). QX9650 is next to go in this board...just gotta fully understand the board before I start with another cpu...and I've had my board since about 3 days after this thread started!

none qx will be around 300 dollar mark , Q9450 will be, though it's multi is at 8x.
I really think the Q6600 will stay at it's current price level due to the 9 multi just like the E6600...when they released the 1333FSB CPU's. And on the Q6600 3ghz is so easy to do ( mostly on stock voltage ), so you get the speed of a stock QX6850 for free...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I'm having some problems with overclocking on this board (SE, BIOS 0907)...
I have a Q6600 G0 which I had no problems with getting to 3,8GHz @ 1,48ish volt on Asus P5k Premium. On this board however it wont even boot at that volt (or anything up to 1,5V) . I'm using the Anandtech setup from the first page. Any tips?

    @ Heanwi

I had a similar experience. You could try the following settings

    vcore 1.4750
    CPU PLL 1.70
    FSBT 1.51
    NB 1.53
    SB PLL 1.6
    SB 1.10
    vdimm 2.28

Im running stable with these settings. The CPU PLL/FSBT does the trick
    Asus Maximus 3 Extreme | Core i7 860 | Thermalright Venemous X | Corsair Dominator GT 2000-C8 4gb Kit | 2 WD Black FALS 1 TB Raid0 | XFX HD5870 | Coolermaster ATCS 840 | Corsair HX750 Watt | Samsung 2493 HM TFT |

Thanks, I'll try it right away!

Btw, CPU PLL below 2V is "safe" right?

I think I found whats holding me back... My ram.
    I used to (on P5k premium) run (2x1024) 2gb Ocz flexxlc 9200 @ 1200MHz. Now its almost a struggle to boot at 1000MHz with 4gb (4x1024). Any ideas? :S

Does increasing PCI-E , yields a better overall overclock? Or it just give u abit of a boost to your GFX speeds.

Anything much past 115 and your RAID will go nuts and not boot. I run mine at 110 and there was MAYBE a 300 point difference in my 3dm06 scores.

The only difference between the SE and non SE is the heatsink on the NB.

The SE has a fusion water block and the non SE doesn't.

So you are saying there is no difference on how the board overclocks when not using water. If that is right then I will keep the board and have some fun with it. Ty for the help.

The boards are identical except for the NB cooling.

I have a 120mm fan pointed at my non-SE NB to keep it cool.

Oke here I go again. I tried OCCT version: OCCTPT1.2.0.b06, and I was wondering If u do Custom test. And u are able to move the Slider, so I did it, to Very large Data 1024MB , so RAM test, however I noticed OCCT bar shows the CPU is only 75% load here, but If I look @ the Taskmananger , I see OCCT.exe 99% @ cpu use.

I hope this is not the prob I had with P95 with only multiplier 9x when I pass 1.4000vcore @ bios, prime.exe wont load 99% @ taskmanager, but this time it is the reversed result LOL, taskmanager shows 99% but OCCT shows during RAM test 75% on the bar oO.

Oke this is only with the b06, with the non beta It will goes up to 99,81% or so, but with b06 here, it will start @ 146% or sumtin then it dropping to +/- 75%

Is the orignal 1.1.1.b good enough? Or this this version buggy? or shall I use b07

Does this one have the slider as well? Can anyone confirm? I used it on another board and the slider was not present. Not sure if it was a bad install or what.

I would be very carefull with your CPU PLL @ 1.70

No slider, just a drop down box to pick from CPU, MIX and RAM.

I have a question, with my q6600 why is it that with my fsbterm volt at 1.3 i can pass prime/occt longer than with a 1.4-1.5fsb term volt. I thought the higher to fsb volt the more headroom for FSB speed. In fact, anandtech's little review recommends 1.54fsbv and 1.61nbv.. when I set it around there I fail tests almost instantly. My temps are under 47C for NB and my cpu temps load around 56C.

    450x7 with PC8500 5-5-5-12 t2 (Stap 400, ddr-1199), 4x1GB 2.28v(2.32real, spec'd for 2.25-2.35)
    CPUv- 1.375v
    CPU PLL- Auto
    NB-1.55v
    FSB termv-1.3v-1.5v
    SB-1.05v

I have been trying for a week to find a stable setting, it seems pretty stable so far for general use and gaming, but I want to be able to pass 8 hour prime blend/smallfft, memtest, OCCT with no errors. Main question is what setting is needing a change and what exactly does fsb term voltage do and what should I set it at. Any other voltages look off? I have basically tried everything so far.

    My 24/7 (p95 stable) at 9x425

    NBv: 1.53
FSBv: 1.40 (it works fine at 1.3v too, don't ask me why).

    SB1.5v: Auto

PS: I'm on the 333 strap using the 5/6 divider. Hope this helps.

PPS: I'm running a 4-disc raid0 setup so that might explain why I need 1.100v for SB.

    PPPS: I'm running a 2x1GB memory configuration.

    SB 1.5V Voltage [1.5v]

    1. The only thing that worries me is the NB temp, in bios it shows 61-63C with [1.61v] setting, isn't that a bit too high, my room temperature is around 21C, but it's winter now and in the summer it gets really hot and the temps may go drastically up. The problem is whenever I try to lower the voltage on the NB I cannot boot, 1.61v it's the lowest setting. Any ideas hot to change my settings to lower up the NB temp?

    2. Ok and here's the tricky one I tried installing all versions of Pc probe, it installed with no problems but each time I try to run the application I get a blue screen and sys reboots??@#@@!! WHY?
Same thing happens with AI tweaker(I don't really use it cause I change the settings in BIOS)
Maybe there is a different application showing NB and SB temps? Or how to make the Pc probe work

I'm running Windows XP Pro polish version SP2c

    thx for your help

    NBv: 1.53
FSBv: 1.40 (it works fine at 1.3v too, don't ask me why).
    CPU PLL: 1.50
    SBv: 1.100
    CPU/NB GTL: Auto/Auto
    SB1.5v: Auto

PS: I'm on the 333 strap using the 5/6 divider. Hope this helps.

PPS: I'm running a 4-disc raid0 setup so that might explain why I need 1.100v for SB.

    PPPS: I'm running a 2x1GB memory configuration.
Thnx zucker for sharing, I found my OC prob already man, I was like wtf, I cant get my sticks stable while with my P5K deluxe even with much higher speed with very low volts, but it was my CPU..... I did 8x425 instead and ques what I could do now 2.00v...... before it failed even 2.20v , odd thing is I did first test the CPU, with prime95 small FFTS 12 hours stable @ 1.400vcore bios set. However I need more vcore to pass OCCT it seems:X
