Cases are indeed matter of looks etc etc... but very good value for the money is the Antec 900, maximum airflow in that case, light weight and light price too...

For mobo's the gigabyte P35DS4 rev 2.0 is also very very good though in the same price category....

Ram wise : go for the Gskill,s man they absolutely rock and you can perfectly run 333FSB with 1000mhz ram... best ram for the buck !!

For the cooler I always liked thermalright products... I have had some issues with Zalmans on the cheaper DS3 gigabyte boards, the bios doesn't allow the cooler fan to be used at it's full potential, there's a workaround by using the zalman fan mate ( which is included ), The ultima 90 bundled with a good fan will perform as good ( if not better ) as the Zalman and will save ya friend even more cash...

For the PSU very good experience with Enermax and OCZ PSU's, just grab the OCZ 600 watt GameXtream , cheaper than the corsair and more powerfull !

For the Harddrive better buy the 320gb version they are faster than the 250gb version as the platters have a higher density and 16mb of cache or just buy one 500gb platter mate then 2 250 ones unless he wants to do raid or stuff...

Looking good even if you buy it like ya friend wants it but he can have more for less or equal amount of money

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
