    Hello,

    Maybe stupid to ask if you already did this so many times, but i can not modify my own bios, and my bios collection is very limited because i have 2 x HD3850 Sapphire 512Mb with Samsung 1.0NS chips.

    I got one bios here, it is a original Sapphire bios already modded with 1.33Voltage on the core normally but none of the clock speeds where changed.

    If somebody would be so kind to modify this bios to 800/1000 with 1.33 voltage on core and some 5-10% more voltage on memory then stock.

    Also a qeustion was, can you edit the fan speeds ? The i would have the fan fixed on 60% in 2D and 3D.

    Another thing is, i don't know if this bios is modified to pass the 777 lock on the 3850's, so look after that if you can .

    So in short:

    3D = Core @ 800Mhz / Fan @ 60% / Voltage @ 1.33V
    3D = Mem @ 1000Mhz / Fan @ 60% / Voltage @ 2.0V

    2D = Core @ 600Mhz / Fan @ 45% / Voltage @ 1.22V
    2D = Mem @ 800Mhz / Fan @ 45% / Voltage @ 1.8V

    Checksum corrected and 777 lock gone ?

    If somebody can make this for me i'm VERY happy !!

    I dont think mem voltage can be modified in BIOS, also Im not sure where you code the fan speed either. Also...getting a completly unlocked BIOS would require you finding the v71 for your card type.
    If there is indeed a 77x mhz lock on these cores thats interesting cuz my core goes to 770...anything above it locks in 3d. Im using the v71...
    cuz AFAIK there is only a 860mhz lock in bios's for 38xx cards....
    anyone have more on this ?

    Oke, then the lock only is @ 860 for all the 38XX cards.

    I will test how good my cards will overclock on core and memory, no need to modify the bios then, if i'm ready with testing i will post my own bios here and then somebody can modify it for me. The i buy other coolers for my cards and flash them with the bios some XS member has made for me here.

    I will keep you updated .

    That would be lovely.

    It would be nice if you could extend the range of Overdrive as well. The original BIOS I posted limits you to 730 in OD. I flashed in a Powercolor BIOS and I had up to 770 available in OD. I'd like the same range available as a 3870, and I don't expect to do that. It would be nice if I could get 800 though.

    Right now if I set 765 and run 3dmark06 I get a crash near the end of the bench because the driver "stops working". Voltage may very well help.

    I don't get any corruption just a freeze and hang. I really suspect voltage.

    Hello,

    Just tested, and 750/1000 gives no artifacts, so 800/1000 would be great.
    I only get driver problem all the time if i want to run 3DMark or games...

    So if somebody can change my bios to 800 core (1.35V) and 1000 memory (2.0V). I saw that the voltage of the memory could be changed in the bios of a HD3870, so i think it can be done here also. If it can't just leave it then. I would be happy enough if i can flash them to 800 (1.35V) / 1000.
    This with checksum corrected pls.

    Here is a Sapphire HD3850 512Mb BIOS with GPU Voltage changed to 1.33V (like the HD3870). The rest is stock.

    Mine is running at 800Mhz core perfectly fine all day long. It's an HIS 3850 card with 512MB of Samsung memory. The BIOS was modded with 3870 voltages, and that was it...

    lucky! lol....but I think the 512MB cards since they have a faster stock core...I think they also bumped the voltage up a bit than the normal 256MB ones.
    So thats why you can go higher...and by voltage I mean the hard voltage not the one in bios.

    How come lucky ? 800Mhz on 1.33V is normal i think ...
    You normally now have the same overclock capabilities as the original HD3870 becuase both use RV670 core and both use 1.33V now.

    I think you can reach 860 easliy...

    Besides that, GenTarkin, can you manage this for me :

    800Mhz core / 1.33V / 3D
    1000Mhz mem / ....V / 3D

    700Mhz core / 1.25V / 2D
    900Mhz mem / ...V / 2D

    This with checksum corrected pls.

    well....not entirely the 3850 256MB version clocked at 668mhz stock...from what Ive read serveral places and I believe someone stated in this thread is hard voltage is @ 1.29v NOT 1.33v
    I think that is where the 512MB higher stock clocked cards differ...they come hard voltage @ 1.33v just like the HD3870
    I will work on that bios for you when I get home again for some time lol...

    Yes i know the 512 version has other components on the entire PCB, better quality etc... But that the core is different i don't know 100%.

    Oke thanks ahead for working on it .

    Sry my English is not so good i'm from Germany

    The other GeCube Bios didn't run with my GeCube Turbo III 512MB OC Edition graphic card. With the Stock Voltages i only come to 770MHz Core and 980MHz RAM.

    So can anyone mod my Bios to 1,33 Volt?

    Thanks, and well greetings from Germany

    EDIT: by the way, this BIOS isn't 100% as he gave it to us, i changed it to give more voltage and have more Core speed!
    using ati flash with the command

    Says can't find name. Is that something to do with it being a bin file?

    oh, and why is it a bin file when other bioses have .103 or .102 ?

    Can you make 797/1000 @ 1.333v checksum corrected for me ? Really appreciate your help. Thanks

    dos doesnt recognize file name that long, if you type dir then u see the new file name, it will be something like 7608~1.bin or similar.

    IMO its best to do it from a usb drive, make boot disk from it and then flash.

    I've tried a couple of the BIOS in this thread and they all break overdrive.

    Flashing is easy. I don't have a floppy so I went an alternate route. I created a boot DVD with Nero. I set my DVD as the first boot device. When I post with the DVD in the drive the system goes right to Dr. Dos. I've got Atiflash on my C drive with all the BIOS I like to play with. Then I just go to C and atiflash -p -f <adapter number> <bios name>.rom. Reboot. Works like a charm. Make darn sure you remove your driver before doing this. I get both cards with no issues. I have 3850 crossfire. I do the one at 1 first then 0, reboot.

    I wish I could get my hands on a BIOS that upped voltage and did not break OD.
