    Patriot DDR3 1866MHz @ 2040MHz 7-7-7-21-1T SP32M stable

    Hello guys,

I got this kit for review, and i found out that it is pretty good, so i wanted to share some of what i achieved. Dont look to the Super Pi times as there are no tweaks and wasn't aiming for great times just for stability.

    Test Bed:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6850
    OCZ Vendetta
    Asus Maximus Extreme (1.81v NB)
    2x1GB DDR3 Patriot EP 1866MHz 8-8-8-24 (w/ fan)
    Foxconn 7900GS
    Hitachi SATA II 246GB
    Zippy 600 watts
    Windows XP Home SP2

So this is the OC chart and what it did:

    Highest Clock Screenshots:

    2060MHz 8-8-8-24-1T 2.2v

    2040MHz 7-7-7-21-1T 2.3v

    1800MHz 6-6-6-18-1T 2.3v

    A Picture of the kit:

2040 1t stable? damn thats a nice board you got there!!!
and nice mem, is it the same 1866 kit you got some time ago?
Do you have results from the p5k3? would be interesting to see how much better it runs on this board than the p5k3!

why does the spd say ddr3 1066?

    DDR3-1960 7-7-7-21 @2,1V is a nice compromise. Always 1T, great!

btw: parcel service was here right now and brought new PSU
    The Initial value finished
    ...
    PI calculation is done!

Nice kit Felipe, and good job
Looks like you've got a decent MCH there on the maximus!

Will try them on P5K3 Deluxe but if i remember only did 2000 8-8-8-24-1T at 2.25v in that board, i will try again

Same 1866mhz kit i used to have a while back

I tryed some STT Proyect X 1800 but results arent even close to this, seems like those mem dont like this board.

Yes 1.81v was the max i wish i had water cooling or a better heatsink i really think the one that asus has is pretty bad.

hmmmm yeah its strange how the mem varies from one board to the other, from one mch to the other! cause even on the same board series it runs way different from one board to the other... very weird... hmmm

could you check how high you can get the same kit stable on the p5k3 with the same timings and same volts?

thanks metro for this posting i have the patriot 1866 kit as well and at 2000mhz although you could web browse etc as soon as you ran pi32 it would lock up a few loops in , as soon as i dared to give 2.2 volt set in bios it ran pi32 perfectly , i just wanted to do a run at ddr2000 which you'd helped me do, but i must admit i wasn't keen sending 2.2 volt into the ram although i have dominator fan over them whats the consensus now on a safe max voltage for ddr3 now the kits have been out a bit is it 2 volt

also did a hexus pifast at ddr2029

yes i wasn't keen putting so much voltage through them would have been about 2.26 actual as the maximus extreme overvolts, i keep it around the 2 volt mark normally
