I'm currently looking for new VGA coolers to cool my crossfire 3870 setup. The main reason is fancontrol since there are alot of problems with the fans on the 3870 and a bios update is something I'd rather not do.
Now at first I thought about buying the Accelero S1 or Zalman ZF1000. But with the S1 for sure my crossfire bridge won't fit anymore.
You see what I mean? There is no way to fit my stock crossfire bridge (This is an optional SLI bridge by the way, the crossfire bridges are stiff). Buying another is not an option (I don't want to buy online).
The VF1000 could fit, but I'm not sure. Can anybody inform me about this? Maybe someone with hands on experience. That leaves only the Zalman 900-Cu, since Thermaltake DuOrb is not available in Holland. But I'd rather not spend money in an "old" VGA cooler. If possible I would like to use the cooler on future cards as well, and I think the VF1000 is much more futureproof.
