Done! Took me only 5 minutes to edit it.. wow, it's easy once you understand the hex editing and the tables. The checksums are identical but you'll have to use Rivatuner for overclocking. Here it is with the description:

    Description:
    HIS GeCube 3850 X-Turbo III 512MB 725/900 default clocks
    MODDED BIOS WITH 3870 voltage (2-D: 1.241v, 3-D: 1.327v)

click on "I Agree" to view content (no need to use "-f" to force flash.. better to not use it).

Or my card itself is not good for OC? Here is my default bios:
Strange.. my card was running Bioshock, The Witcher, CoD4, etc.. at 800 MHz all day long yesterday when my brother was indulging in those new games during his Xmas visit. Are you able to run any games at 800Mhz? The other guy 'motox' recently posted here that he could do Crysis at 810 MHz with my modded HIS bios. I'm sure that I can do all of those games at 810 MHz but since Quake3 crashed at 820 MHz, I chose to back down to 800 Mhz just to be safe, which is already within 2% of known limit for stability.

Also, what was your previous max OC with your default bios? How much did my bios help your OC?

thanks a million for your help!

But it seems that overclocking doesn't work anymore (tried with rivatuner and CCC ... clocks can not be applied))

    I don't know whats wrong

That's a first that oc'ing wont work with RT. Was CCC overclocking already unlocked before you upgraded the bios? Just asking because I know that mine was already unlocked and RT still worked. It gave me 1100 extra points in 3Dmark03 and 150 in 3dmark06. How about trying AtiTool to see if it works?

If nothing works, maybe a reinstall of the drivers would do it? Or upping the clocks in your BIOS but that would be a big pain in the neck to find the OC limits that way.

Oh, great! How much can you oc with ATiTool? Don't forget to verify the overclock in Rivatuner monitoring! Just in case it still didnt work I did another bios edit but this time the idle voltages are the same as 3850's default. Only the 3D load voltages are at 1.327v, equal to 3870's. Maybe it would work with CCC and/or Rivatuner overclocking.

Yeah, it should be fine since your default bios shows 1.01v in Rivatuner. Do you want me to change that to 1.33v also?

Hey OS, I executed the HexCmp, and for some reason on first run it did a NETSH command. That's uh, scary. It was too fast for me to see what it did, but do you have any clue as to why it would do that?

EDIT: SON OF A BLKSFDLKJWE:LKRJWL:KJ. There is a VIRUS in that file! Dude, seriously, I'm an idiot for trusting anything posted up here, but seriously.... WTF? ?!!?

Do you mean that HexCompare is infected? I have Avast! virus scanner and it didn't show me anything. If there's a virus, your program should prevent it from damaging your computer.

This time, I made sure it's from your ORIGINAL GeCube bios, with everything set at 1.33v--even in low-power mode it will be running at full voltage, so your card will be warm all the time. Make sure to set the fan speed to 60% or higher in Rivatuner.

Here's the BIOS with 3870 voltage all the way.

    Description:

It's a mass mailer infected .exe. Look for pmxgl32.dll; It will now be in your shell init if you installed the program. It will also created a couple random named .dlls in your system32 directory. They will probably have a create date of 2/1/2004. Avast isn't upped yet, so it doesn't know about it.

I downloaded mine from a different source.. and it's not an installer. I searched for pmxgl32.dll and it's not on my PC. It's a stand-alone .exe and i scanned it again with another program.. and it's clean. You prolly got yours from a bad, dirty source (j/k with that evil laughter)

Yah, it was the direct link from os008 in the beginning of this thread. That was really stupid; I know better than that, but I did it anyhow. Still trying to clean....

Is that all right?!? 3.89V?!? OMG

Truckchase! I'm afraid my system was infected with that virus too. I deleted the entry in regedit, and erased the file pmxgl32.dll. Now scanning with all Spyware/AV stuff, but nothing is detected I don't know what does that virus/malware harm and I don't know if there are any other files infected...

EDIT: SON OF A BLKSFDLKJWE:LKRJWL:KJ. There is a VIRUS in that file! Dude, seriously, I'm an idiot for trusting anything posted up here, but seriously.... WTF? ?!!?

HEY, wtf is wrong with you man, i scanned the file after i read this with NOD and AVG, it turned up nothing, plus, it's not an installer, it's a direct EXE, check first before accusing blindly.

Could anyone confirm if the file indeed puts in that dll file after being executed?

Just an info ... that dll is a WELL KNOWN mass mailer, it can be had from a LOT of sources, but seriously, check before accusing me of anything, someone please confirm to shut him up .
