Thanks....
The newb setting is "auto" lol.... Ive had my P35-T2R for a couple of months now and Ive yet to play with those #s, but at the same time Ive never had a quadcore till a few days ago.... I dont test stability but my QX did 4850mhz spi 1M and almost 5ghz cpu-valid on my 24/7 water.... 5780mhz ln2
But unfortunately my board is very buggy wiht the QX, a failed oc attemp will make it almost unbootable... and cpuvtt undervolts from 1.6v down to 1.43v, but with my E6600 itll only undervolt to 1.58v
thats measured with a multi...

which TR HR-09 will fit on this board? From the looks, a HR-09U Type 2 should fit, but Thermalright says Type 3 on thir website for the P35 board, which uses the same heatsink (minus the heatpipe) as X38 does, could use advice, thanks

I can fix this problem with a hardware mod....![]()
Hipro5
"Overclock till death. Overclocking is life." Hipro5
the type 3 does not fit (tried it), get the type 2 (only other possibility).
On another note: 2 of my ram sticks died today for no apparent reason, C1 error on both of them individually. Fortunately they are corsair ram and have a lifetime warranty :\ but it has messed with my overclock (moving to only 2 gigs) and I'm now stuck down to 3.681![]()
WTF is going on with DFI?!?! They don't know how to build boards now!?!?![]()
Are this DFI X38 boards, rams killers also?!?!
I have 1 DFI P35-T2R that killed 5 kits of memory! 1 kit GSKill PC-8500 and 4 kits of TeamGroup PC-8500. Even without any OC on my CPU or MEMS (last 2 kits).
My DFI P35 going to RMA now! I hope to get a new one without any of this problems, or never buy another DFI board!![]()
i don't like to do P95 since i do not fold or play any video games that put a huge demand on the cpu...my apps are easy duty so i just set the vcore to complete wPrime 1024M stability bench which is like 5-10 minutes of P95...why waste electrical energy if there is no need....if you do more than an hour, i think it is overkill...BUT, HEY, everyone has their own ideas on "how to!"![]()

OH!..i now understand!...LOL![]()
my qx9650 on the IP35 Pro had the same results as to stable max FSB of 460...EXCEPT, the IP35 Pro board was FAR easier to make my quad work at 4400 mhz....dynamics really change when you go from 2 cores to balancing 4 cores to operate in unison.Ive had my P35-T2R for a couple of months now and Ive yet to play with those #s, but at the same time Ive never had a quadcore till a few days ago.... Thanks bro...
Not even close at the moment but thats my mhz target to run spi32M... Ive put in almost 10hrs benching with ln2 and Ive only been above 5700mhz maybe 20sec lol..... Tough to do anything when your mobo doesnt work, also this is the first time for me benching with high multi/low fsb/mem dividers and Im still getting a feel for settings.... plus the fact that this cpu acts totally diff than C2....
Ill probably take me another 20+hrs of ln2 time to get the max out of this cpu. Its always good to leave some mhz to be had later so you always have a reason to bench.... cos to me as soon as I get the max out of a cpu then its pretty much useless, and that usually means spending more money to max something else.... hope you get what I mean....
i just tried some of EVA's memory settings and i am now at ddr-1003 on 2gb per stick (4g's total) of GSkill PC6400 (ddr-800) memory...this board has promise when it comes to fine tuning memory for ultimate performance.

we think alike when i do play a game if it crashes then i will test it more
if cpu was runnin hot i would try to find out what was minimum votage required but the highest i seen cpu go is 45-50c in everyday apps n games
i know the cpu will do 4.3 62c load
but soon when it gets colder i will see what is the limit of the the cpu but for 24/7 i see no need for more than 4.0 for me i think its a waste of electricity @ 4.0 though lol except for gaming![]()
4 hours more than enough in my opinion but hey everyone has a choice
but if i was running @ the edge of my cpu's capabilities i would test longer
i have a backup of everything so ...

Im not much of a gamer and I am in the wrong thread but this is my 24/7 setting on straight watercooling, never had to reboot or any sign of instability... Not too bad using a waterblock design for either AXP or S478* SG is off by 15c so should be 24c...

i have a backup called the "Hotkey"...i've been toying with the memory settings at 4400 mhz..i think i just about squeezed the last ounce of performance out of it...i'm running wPrime 1024M bench as i type this to see if i can upset the apple cart..just finished successfully!...good news!...maybe i can do more
...i will replace the OS since i have pinged this one over an extender period of time.

I tried my TeamXtreme 667 2x1 on this board. It doesn't seem to go too well.
Won't post with 2 sticks. It posts with 1 stick but not 2. Kicked up the vdimm to no success.
Crucials work fine 2x1.

i tested everythng with TG 1200 which are for sure GKX, without any problem....
crucial tracer are fine....not so nice as eva2000's one...but i can arrive at DDR2-1281 pi32M pass with fine tning of memory parameter and voltage (2.45V)
no signature at the moment....
in progress...
So how is everyone cooling the pwm area? since im still testing the board its currently on a bench table with a fan over it but once inside a case how are we suppose to cool this area?

really REALLY need to upgrade.
I am certain I read TG modules, especially those with GKX ICs, and others with the same, were problematic and someone had put in a request to one of the DFI gurus (Oskar Wu?) to address the issue in the bios. It was more than one person having problems. It may have been on the DFI Club site, not sure.
