Just checking back in. Just recently, like last week, recieved my rma 8500's and never went over 2.24v @ 1144, which wasn't stable anyways, and yeah you guessed it. One stick is already toast. Red Page o' Death on memtest86+. They were runnning stable @ 1095 2.18v for a few days before it took a dump on me. This really sux, another $8-12 shipping down the tube. What is up with this batch of D9? Makes me wanna go back to Promos. Anyways, just venting

@TinTin: how much NB voltages are running with those?

@By0T0xN: so the Ballistix can't handle above 2.2v?

Some apperently do. Nut311's stix seem to be able to. Mine did not, and I only had it running @ 2.24v for a few days. Also have gobs of air flow in my case. By setting my voltage in bios to +.40 it increases to 2.24. If I set it @+.35 it runs at 2.18v. I can only do .05 increments. So it's either a little over or a little under 2.2v.

Seems Crucial needs to beef up it's QC dept.

Gettosmurf I feel your pain bro.

Thanks eva2000, It should be 5-5-5-15-4-42-6-12-12-4-8-4-5-3120-2T
Damn, my P5K-P after updated to BIOS 404, I feel that it is not as good as BETA 402, but 402 can't make my 8400ES bootable.

Swapped in a 3rd kit, this time in dimm slot 2+4 with 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 Tracer modules.

    DFI X38 power!

This particular set of Ballistix Tracers took 2.4-2.45v to do 651mhz 5-5-5-15 on Asus P5K Deluxe!.

Well guys I reverted back to bios F6 from F7b and then F8. Running F6 again and now no more errors on my 8500's. And to think I was ready to send them back. Igonna do some more testing to make sure. Memtesting overnight. Let you know tomorrow.

Edit/update- I started recieveing errors again. Even with F6 bios. I guess it is the ram after all. Stuck my XMS2's back in and boxed the Ballistix up for rma. Here we go again.

    Merry Christmas

Oh that it's about the same i.e. 2.55v bios = 2.56v SG, 2.60v bios = 2.59-2.60v SG, 2.23v Bios = 2.19v SG, some are closer to bios set than others.

i wanted to see how far they can go with stock Voltage 2,2 and here is the reward they can go 600Mhz with Cl4 but i have to give them ~2,4V so cl4 @ 600Mhz is not good for 24/7 usage
    600Mhz 2,2 V cl5-5-5-9

    Those sticks are awesome.

@vatos_locos: Whats your max. frequency with 5-5-5-12 and stock voltage (32m stable)?

2.2 Volts is the stock voltage, and I don't think tRAS of 12 will make a big difference, so you can find the answer to your question in the picture above your post.

exact what Don_Dan said stock Vdimm for thos sticks is 2,2Volt i think they can handle 600Mhz Cl5-5-5-5 @ 2,2 Volts i didn't test them tho

i tried 600Mhz Cl4-4-4-4 @ 2,5 Volt and they are 32M stable but not a big different in the time my cpu is not helping me

    Happy Xmas
