Do you believe the more you spend, the better the product? It's not true.
Best board out.
My personal choice.
Unless you plan to do some serious tweaking, the msi will do everything just fine.
Neo2 tread. Anandtech Review.
pffft.. I've never owned a p35 chipset as I went from 975 to x38 and in my opinion - x38 is better than p35 simply cos it takes PCIE 2.0 and Penryn.
Why buy 'old hat' ??
I'm sure the OP doesnt care about 0.1seconds gain in SuperPi but rather having a mobo that has can handle some of the latest upcoming CPUs and GPU's

No I wouldn't recommend the dfi p35. It's a great board for ocing, problem is, with dfi boards you getting overwhelmed with the bios if you don't know exactly what you're doing.
I say asus maximus extreme, its a great board for ocing, stability and is easier on beginners. ASUS's quality has greatly increased since the striker extreme screw up.
Also the x48 dq6 will be a good choice along with the x48 foxconn board, especially after seeing the new cooler shamino's cooked up
Does your video card use all that extra bandwidth from pcie2.0 now? No.
Do you remember any major improvements in performance when agp went 8x? No.
The boards are all "45nm ready", flash the bios and you are set.
Hey.. its not xmas.. yet!! As you can see, I'm still using an x1900xt hopefully Santa will bring me an ATI 3870 but no I prob won't see any performance increase until I get a second card.
I remember all the nVidia fans shouting about their 2x16 lanes when ATI was stuck at 1x16 + 1x8, now the ground is levelled more.
If I spent 100's on a new mobo (and I have) I'd want all the latest fandangled tech bits supported as standard so when I have a prob with a standard component Asus wont tell me 'sorry we can help you, that's not supported'
Ur choice tho, some people like to waste money.
