hey guys that are worried about the price, u can still pick up a q9450 and overclock that. it would be like half the performance for 1/10th the price.

For private use, I guess it would be great for HD content encoding.
I hope the tools for that support multithreading regulary now. If not then you get my point on the other thread why I said that hardware monoploly for a while would be a good thing cause it would let software catch up.

You could you build a virtualization server with this and use its power for all the PC's in the house, right?
That would require a new way of thinking in my house.

SkullTrail would fit well with the workstation crowd too.

hopefully we will start seeing more boards like skulltrail ...

monster oc'ing dual socket mid lowend boards would be great .

every time i see a skulltrail thread , it has very little to do with benchies . where's the pics and scores of tri sli and ln2 oc's of 6ghz .

i told myself no more spending $300+ dollars on a board when i can oc just as good with a $200 board , but with boards like this comeing out i might have to break my own rule .

    bios screenies pleeeeeeeeeeease ....

I like dual socket boards for some reason. There's just something about them...

The warm fuzzy feeling you'll get will override the guilty feeling of the power bill
