Talking

I'm personally wondering if Macci had anything to do with this decision.

Maybe a few words of wisdom like " The Phenom needs to attract enthusiasts, and right now it cannot compete without an unlocked multi, due to issues with early revisions of boards/bios and CPU's, at least give them SOMETHING to look forward to.... remember the early days, those unlocked CPU's sold"

Just a thought.... maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt anyone knows that platform better than macci, I'd bet on that.

"And what’s more, to enable you to experience the true performance of the AMD Phenom 9000 series processors, we are offering our loyal customers an early Christmas gift – the Phenom 9500, 9600 and 9600 Black Edition with clock multiplier, at a traditionally dual-core price!

That’s right! With effect from Monday 17th December you will be able to harness Quad-Core Power at a traditionally Dual-Core price!""

Maybe true, but if you get OC around 3G and the stability is reasonable, I'd say its worth going for. Esp, if they drop the prices

WTH you talking about is it the same?

You said Marketing!!

Intel and Nv have been putting that garbage in b4 games for years, even when their product su<ked bag.

THAT IS Marketing.

Secondly, do us here in the AMD FORUM a favor, take the rest of your intel buddies, and piss off.

i always had an amd system
i went to c2d because i couldn't wait any more and listen to this king of #@$%^

Anyway, this product is only good for overclockers who care about fun and not performance.
I wonder when the next -10% performance patch will be release!

So you splooge in your pants when you can get 20 fps more even though you system keeps 60 stable?

That's nice.

I think you missed the point, with an unlocked multi, the HTT wall is no more, and the Phenom might start to shine just a bit.

As is mine. I don't think we will be lucky enough for a B3 stepping. I can't wait to put it under my SS. It is going to be a lot of fun.
