Your welcome. Hopefully that will take care of it. I think it's more of a memory divider issue with DDR2 then anything else.

been playing around with the board, put it into a water set-up but the rig will not boot 520fsb
on my ip35 pro i have been able to boot 520, but this will not boot at all no matter how much voltage i gave it..

Has anyone else tried to see how high they can push this?

Also its using coretemp its reporting 10+ degress on the temp, I remounted the wb twice so far and nothing has changed.

Hello, I am Italian boy... so don't blame my english please.

I ordered a Lanparty P35 Ut, but this morning the store called me telling that it was available only X38 Lt... so I have taken it.

I would be interested to know if there are any problems with memories Crucial Ballistix Pc8500 and psu Corsair Hx520.

And generally behaves as oc and vdrop compared to lanparty UT p35.

Thanks,

bye Andrea

Does anyone know which watercooler fits the nb and mosfets? Will the MCW30 fit ? And which one can i use for Mosfest, to be exact which board uses the same because there will be no coolers for this board atm since it's too new.

I Just ordered this set of coolers from Germany

http://www.mips-computer.de/

They will fit on P35 / X38 and probably also X48

The motherboard is out of stock so I'll have to wait..... But I think I will wait for the DDR3 version anyway.

These Mips look fine, i already had one for my NF4 DFI Board, but they are damn expensive
Watercool got a new series of mainboard coolers, but i don't know which one would fit if any, since there are no DFI boards on they compatibiity list.

Well there is other boards in the market that compete against DFI and have done so in a very competitive way. Asus for one makes awesome mobos for overclocking and no one in this entire Forum can deny that.

I am a happy DFI/ASUS person and i have never had any major issues in overclocking any of my present or past builds with either of these two manufacurers.

Which is better?

This will be determined by what your overclocking and what bioes they are using. You will note that both compnaies in recent years are using a very similar Bios Layout and this is why they both can overclock very well. This is in the terms of the P35 and X38 mobos. In the past year or so Asus and DFI top dog mobo's have not been superceeded by any other company.

I am still stuck on which manufcaturer to go with and what chipset to buy.

My plan is to run this setup next:

Intel QX9450
G.Skill PC2-8000 2x2gb = 4GB Dual Channel Kit

As for mobo not sure yet, either the P35 from DFI or the X38 from DFI or the Maximus Formula X38 from Asus.

It is a very tough decision as all those mobos seem to be doing very well at overclocking, well the DFI X38 is still not mature enough to really consider right this minute, but my plan is in Feb-Mar when the lower GHZ Yorkfields start to appear.

Asus makes some fine boards, that's a given. And it's to early to determine where Asus and DFI will be as far as performance concerning the X38 chipset. But if the DFI X38 follows the P35 it will be at the top once again. Almost without exception when reviewing an X38 board, its performance was judged against the DFI P35 because it was that good. From a pure performance standpoint the P35 has no equal. Running this board for the last couple of weeks I haven't seen anything that makes me think this board won't also be at the top of the performance ladder. If this performance increase is important in 24/7 use the individual will have to decide.

The 850 Zeus works fine with DFI boards. I've not seen one issue with the 850.

I run a Thermaltake 650w Toughpower and it is a Solid PSU and i will be using it when i build my Yorkfield Quad-Core in Feb-Mar next year.

Now if i can figure what mobo to buy for my G.Skill PC2-8000 2x2gb = 4GB dual channel kit, i will be all set to go and wait untill the Yorkfield QX9450 arrives.

Used Artic Cooling MX-2 thermal paste on northbridge and replaced SB and PWM heatsinks' thermal paste with MX-2 as well. Installing WinXP Pro SP2 right now

From the man who did a very decent study on the G.Skill PC2-8000 4GB dual channel memory Kit is now going to show us what this mobo can really offer us all.

Do some tests with that memory at different timings and if you have a Quad-Core lying around can ya try 8 x 480 or 8 x 450 and get that RAM up to at least 1066-1100 that would ROCK.

P.S

Its the max Stability is what i am looking for as when i get a Quad-Core Yorkfield QX9450 we all know they will be about 15-20% faster and about 10-20C cooler then the QX6600 is.

Thks

The DFI X38 LT cd-rom lists both a UT and LT version label so maybe there is 2 versions ?

Oh i think he was asking about a lower model then the LT which there is no such mobo, in which i answered about.

It is rurmored DFI has scraped the UT version of this motherboard and are working on their X48 mobo series now.

To be sure call DFI and see if they are still making the UT version.
