The screen is a Matrix Orbital USB item. We have it set up to rotate thru system vitals (FPS, all temps for CPU,GPU,Disks etc.. drive usage,Clock speeds)

I checked the matrixorb website, and I definately want one of those, but can you tell me which vfd/lcd you have? and is it as simple as just plug the usb?
Or do you have to solder stuff? Does it comes with software for the lcd or are there software apps on the i-net you used?

I really like to know all about those lcd's!

Look like a http://www.matrixorbital.com/product...character-vfds for me but with a different color (I was unable to find the right colored one on the site). It plug with a usb cable and you control it via software (LCDC I think).

Hi there, I actually cheated sort of... used food colouring coz i just couldnt find a red dye. Tried dtek uv fire red and it turned pink on me.

Was contemplating using fluid xp blood red but apparently it leaves solid residue and costs £27.99 here in UK .

I know food dye will possibly leave residue but at least I only paid 22p for it!!

I think someone mentioned that all dyes will become soild after a while, (Might have been Marci from my recollection) please correct me if Im wrong

The picture are just taken with a Nikon d70s with a 28mm lens and one soft light.. the computer sits on a table with a seamless back taped to the wall... thats what makes it look so clean.. its just a very nice piece of wallpaper really

Haha, I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing for my project, It's the only way of getting around tight bends such as this with such a massive cable.

I've made a wallpaper of the Murderbox, I was a bit bored and I thought the most beautiful pc of the world must have an wallpaper

it's nothing special, just a 2 minutes job in photoshop!
I think it's beautiful as a desktop.
