I picked up a P5K-E at frys to see how much better this will overclock then my Abit AW9D-Max. So i loaded my e6700 cpu and 1000MHz G.Skill memory to find i can't even hit a 333FSB. I increased the ram voltage to 2.3 and set the timmings, set cpu voltage to 1.40v.
what am i doing wrong?

Disable DRAM static read control in bios, having this enabled makes mine very unstable.

Im thinking about picking this board up in within a month. How is it as far as overclocking Core 2? Ive got an E6600 and will probably migrate to an E8400 when Penryn is released.

Is the P5K-E different from the P5K-E/WIFI other than the WIFI reciever? All I care about is the overclocking.

Board clocks rather good, max fsb for me is 530 with E6600.



It clocks my Ballistix 8500 good as well.

Here's what I got on my Transcend DDR2-800.



Here are some air results on a Q6600.. haven't found max FSB yet, still working on minimizing voltages at 400 MHz Bus. 1.4 NB and 1.3 FSB Termination is the lowest I can pull so far at 400 Bus and keep it 8 hour blend stable. 1.2 FSB Term got me an error about 5 hours in.
