But for me it has to be a rock solid OC and stable becuase it runs 24/7 non stop, so I'll trade a few Mhz for stability. I'm damn sure having a ball with it.

I've also got a Q6600 on the board, but it's a dog. Can't get it over 3.0 stable 24/7 for anything, and I've tried everything, but it's folding some units pretty well.

Just ordered another one so we'll see how it does. It it does well, I'll move the dog G0, AM2 5600 and 6000 to a folding farm and have some fun with that. I'm planing to put all three boards on a nice peice of wood, get all the partsd mounted and hang it on the wall.

Tellin ya man, I love this hobby. It's the only thing that keeps me from going insane when the days get short, wheather turns cold and I can't play golf.

Sorry to go on so much, but I'm just facinated by folding, and it's such a good cause. Best of both worlds IMO.

And I owe it all to you, because your posts over on the WC side is what got me interested in it. Just thought I'd mention it

Let's see, where to start..
1) Thank you..I'm just a voice that trys to open eyes.
Once they are opened the good people see what we can do and come to help.
2) I'm jealous. Yes, I am a certifiable,bonafide hardware junky and I admit it.
If I had the dough I'd have a 400 amp service put in and racks of machines.
3) Your compliment made my day. Many Thanks!

Thank you, thank you. I couldnt have done it with out my family, and this great group of people.

I just wish I had more hardware to put on

Next mil here I come. Also a quick Q (even though this isnt the right spot for it,) What a safe voltage to run a Q6600 G0 at? I really want to push my proc to see how fast it can go, but I dont know what voltage I should really stop at. Its currently running @ 3.2 ghz @ stock voltage.

Try raising VCore to 1.4v. Should be safe.

Deadeye , I'd say 1.45vcore is ok if you have good cooling.
With watercooling you can give it some more

I've got it fully water cooled. Would 1.5 volts be fine for just a quick ss of CPU-Z?

not trying to hijack another thread, but I posted a question over on general hardware. Had put it up a couple days ago with another title but only got one response. If anyone here could take a look I'd appreciate it.

I can see it now..1/2 price huh?
I'll take :
2 of each sku of the Harpers and one each of all the yorkies
That would add a couple hundred thou a day easy to the team.

I've spent a few hours now looking at this thread and at this section in general, I joined the forum a while ago to get some help with the striker extreme / e6600 combo I came back recently because I got a q6600 g0 in the mail and wanted to check settings. I saw a post by linflas i think that mentioned putting all this idle hardware to good use. My biggest regret is that I didnt know about this stuff sooner. I got the BIONIC client running now and I'm in the process of stuffing the e6600 into another system and installing the client there as well. Not to mention all the PCs at my cousins law firm !! feel free to PM me tips, I feel like I'm just scratching the surface here

well my client has been running for 43 min now and it only seems to utilize 70-80% of the cpu (according to task manager) any idea how to boost that number?

edit: NM it was an RTFM ID10T error
