8800GT bios for better overclocking! *test*

Sorry , i dont read the whole topic.
I need a simple answer for this: is here any bios whit i can manage higher OC ? ( More voltages, etc ).

Changing only the Extra V to 1.22 gave me 802mhz on the core,unmodded with water cooling.

Can somebody try the attached bios an measure core voltage?
It gave me a little higher voltage as the 1,1V setting.
Don't wonder that there is no entry for extra in exact mode.

ok so every single game i have tried for about an hour works with my memory at 1000 except Pro Evolution Soccer 2008........here is a list of games i have tried...........Crysis, COD2, Hellgate, NFS Pro Street, TF2, CSS, Quake Wars ET......all work fine with memory at 1000, except PES 2008, hmmmmmmm could someone test this game with mem at 1000?

Just measured the voltages ( vGPU ) at my Gainward ( stock bios ).

Idle : 1.11v
Load : 1.14v .

So.. for me this mod is useless?

have your Card also the new Cooler?

I think there are two revisions of 8800 GT

first with the old Cooler and 1,05 V
with this card you can flash BIOS with 1,1 V and you can increase your OC results

secound with new Cooler and 1,1 V
with this card BIOS Flashing dosn't have no change to the OC results

Anf I just saw you are on water, it explain why you get good results. I'm going to grab a better cooler and see if it can improve my OC headroom.

Rastaman, i have an XFX Alpha Dog edition, i've adjusted a BIOS to 1.3v with nibitor, but DMM only measures 1.154v vGPU under LOAD... Anyway 770mhz core (linked shaders) stable, i'll see if i can upload the bios for everyones interest.

BTW, did anyone noticed a whispering noise after bios tweaking?

I might also have reached the limit of my GPU in that case. But I'm in Malaysia and ambiant temperature is quite hot here. I'm hoping that with better cooling, I'll improve my OC results. But it is difficult to find a nice cooler here. The only one I can find is the Zalman 900 fatal1ty and there is no way I put anything in my rig written fatal1ty on it

And I didn't notice any whispering noise. But my rig is not what we can call dead silent so it might be cover by the sounds of the other fans.

I'm a bit behind the times on what bios will be best for me. I got an EVGA 8800GT regular the 3rd day after release at Frys (real retail store even!). My god what were my original clocks, hehe. Anyway, I'm already at this point with my OC. Is it worth trying to flash?

8800GT 512 Evga 721/1802/958
HR03GT (120mm on low) 40C Idle 53C 3D Mark 06, no arties, all is smooth.

And there are so many bios versions floating around on this thread, if one is for me please let me know, thanks.

Also, would love to see a summary of this thread and a sticky, this is a huge subject with so many peeps getting the 8800GT. Glad I got mine, got lucky getting mine.

I tried along with few others. The flash works but there is a problem with the drivers. First I had to modify the .inf file to install them and then it crashes as soon as I start ATItool. I checked with rivatuner and although it said 8800 GTS 512, it stated only 112 SP

Are you using a version of the drivers that the 8800GTS (g92) are using and works for them?

Apps like gpg-z and rivatuner, I wonder if they hardcode the display of SPs based on the chip id that is read from the bios.
