i don't understand this.. really.. everyone can see that the intel cpus, for now, outperforms the phenons.. why keep posting this over and over again? is like some people feel smart posting the obvious? i suggest keeping this thread as a phenom performance discussion thread. thanks.

Hey well there is also prime 1.55 For some reason K10 has picked up a lot of performance in this version, matching Yorkfield c/c in it from what I can tell (not many results around)

Thats nice too know...Now if some one can get the 9500 100% @3.0Ghz on any AM2 platform that should be double the speed of 6000+ X2 @stock and would save$ over a BE...Thus it would make it a real bang for the buck chip for low end AMD 4core,This would make switching from X2 to X4 really worth wild while not upgrading say hundreds more for AM2+,Like AMD stated it will run in AM2/AM2+ ...This i see is what will keep them Afloat ,Also it will encourage people to buy 3.0-3.2ghz when the time comes.

Kentsfield needs roughly 2.8-3ghz for doing that according to hwbot.

The Phenom x4 is a great cpu but at the same time its too bad they are having problems at higher freq. but there is something special about a native quad core. It really is.

I agree wholeheartedly. Can't wait to set up a rig with B3 stepping 9700 and 790FX chipset board. At last, a vendor marketing a native quad core and no FSB crap.
