I think if you're just starting out on a 09xx series bios, you may as well go to the latest one? I just switched over and IMO it's A LOT more stable and as some other users have said, "more fluid".

Yup... man, this BIOS is rocking, it overclocks with such ease compared to any of the others, it actually allowed me to drop my voltages slightly and retain a much better degree of stability.

What voltages have you dropped? I'm always cautious because I Fold 24/7 so I hate lowering too much and getting an EUE from it...

Edit: pphx459, you only need 1.32 for vcore at 400 FSB? weird, I need to retest with this new BIOS... last time I tried 400 FSB, it needed a bare minimum of 1.38 otherwise things would go slightly odd, but I'm starting to believe that this was because I was playing around with RAM latencies too much. 0903 has put the latencies into perspective for me now.

Yep, sorry I didn't clarify. I am still using bios 0505. I just got the board (non se, rev 1.03g) recently to test several Q6600's and to test Crossfire. Haven't had a chance to play with memory settings and the bios' out there. One of my other q's needed 1.38 and above, try maybe just testing the CPU.

So I'm getting ready to purchase new ram, my G.Skill 6400's can't really do anything higher than 900 so was wondering if the 4:5 divider is working now. I've been following this thread since the beginning (I may just be blind) but haven't seen anything about this one.
