Am I pretty much hosed is there some way to unleash the rest of the RAM?

    Thanks in advance.

In order to fully utilize 4GB ram, you MUST be using Windows XP 64bit/Vista 64bit.
Next you need to enable "Manual" overclocking mode in the BIO then enable "Memory Remap Feature". Then you will see 4GB ram in boot screen and Windows.

    Steps:
    1) BIO > JumperFree Configuration > AI Overclocking > [Manual]
    2) BIO > Advanced > Chipset > Memory Remap Feature > [Enabled]
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 4.05GHz / VID 1.15V / BIO 1.325V / Load 1.22V / LLC disable
HSF: TRUE Black + Scythe Ultra Kaze @ 1590rpm
    MB: Asus Rampage Formula + Thermalright HR-05 SLI/IFX on NB + Enzotech CNB-S1L on SB / 450 x9 / 1:1 / BIO 0803
    RAM: 8GB (4x2GB) OCZ DDR2 800 @ 900MHz / 5-5-5-18 / 2.2v / tRD 8
    VGA: Evga 9800GX2 / 600 core / 1500 memory / 1000 shader
    PSU: Corsair HX1000
HD: 4x Western Digital 1TB Black

Has anyone used this board with E6750? This board won't overclock well past 3.2ghz with any voltage. In addition, to get it to 3.2ghz stable I needed 1.425vcore.

I have an E6850 in mine, and I can OC to 3.6 GHz (400 MHz FSB) easily, but TBH I never tries to go further.

Can you post your bios settings?

I bought the board as a package deal with a cpu and memory on ebay. I live in the netherlands and I bought it from an american seller. So I can;t send it back.

I Think i'm going to buy the maximus formula.
Anybody got suggestions for a good oc board.

    Thanks

I would have to double check most of them, but I remember setting the CPU vcore to 1.45v, the mem to 2.15v, max the MCH and FSB term, the ram timings had to be set to SPD, and I disabled the Hyperpath 3. Now, TBH I don't know if all these settigns needed to be applied, but I as afetr a quick and dirty overclock just to get it running. I do know the CPU needed at least 1.45v, because 1.4v wasn't stable.

Thanks a lot for the information. I had thought I would need 64 bit as well, not sure what I was thinking when I posted my question. I am using Vista 32 bit Business edition at the moment. Next year (after SP1 is released) I plan to go with Vista Ultimate x64.

Another quick question. This is the RAM I have. I had to go into the BIOS (just as some reviewers stated on Newegg) to manually set the timing to DDR2/4-4-4-12. My question is, do you think it would be safe to bump up the voltage to 2.0 or 2.1 like some reviewers stated here?

If I do bump it to 2.1, it shows up in red in the BIOS which I assume cannot be good. I have never really overclocked before (and I just have stock cooling on my rig) so I just want to be sure that I am not going to fry my system by doing so.

If you need more information, please let me know.

    Thanks guys and Happy Holidays.

P.S. Memory voltage as of right now is set to Auto.
