Can I do something by increasing any voltage when OCCT fails cause of Failure 4 and is it Vcore, VCore + CPUPLL, or VFSB, VFSB +NB?
Would be helpfully![]()

I used to be rock solid at 450x8
When I loaded bios 902 it wouldnt even post.
I went back to 802 and used my oc profile for 450x8, no matter what I do now I cant get it stable.
425x8 100% stable
400x9 100% stable
I dont get it

I try to flash an older Bios (0602) with EZ Flash and Afudos when I flashed my Bios with the 0903 version, but the two utilites (Ez flash and AfuDos) show a message "Flash is impossible, File version is older then Motherboard Bios version".
Note: I used the 0903 Bios on the Asus's FTP, not on the site.
The two Bios maybe differents?![]()

Only if mounting in an inverted case like BTX to ATX. NB & SB temps will climb 2~3c because heat from SB stays in pipe and is overheated by already overworked NB sink. PWR cooler appear to be the same if seperated from NB block by removing pad but adding fan to make up for it.
For the guys wanting to remove after several days of use, I used a 1800w soldering iron inserted into barb of Fusion block and allowed to get just warm (not real hot) while wedging small 1/4" flat head screwdriver between edge of chipset pcb and bottom of sink block, twisting slightly as it is heated. I first had the 4 screws and 2 pins removed and cut w/ plastic knife the thermal pad sepperating bright aluminum sink from mosfet cooler. This allows the NB/SB assembly to be removed by itself leaving the PWR to be removed after (they remove very easily). They can effectively be reused since they will not get as hot anymore since sepperated from NB. I also dripped 99% alcohal on SB and removed it first to focus remaining efforts on NB. This way you can control the movement of assembly to help remove.
To assist in removal, I also dripped with dropper, 99% proof alcohal into edge of chipset where I was working the wedge as it softens slightly allowing it to work further inside and weaken cement for a bit.
Hope this helps!

You need an older version It will work aslong as you have a 32 bit OS
dl this and try it

O.K. now I got to ask, cause I used one of these Q6600's and it was ablt to scale 500FSB with just a bit more effort then older E6600 on air, and to 4GHz at that. Is anybody with an older Q6600 of lat last yr (GO) able to scale anything over the mild 450 in 1:1 with relaxed timings and no DRAM boosters? Just curious if it's the batch of quads and combo of the newer mobo.
So the only thing I see that is so different is the insistant need for RAM updeviders and use of mobo performance boosters on top of it all. Deviders were origionally really needed because our RAM couldn't clock as high as the FSB so we used down deviders to keep RAM nominal but at a cost of performance and risk of stability if OC'd too high.
As I read through these and other forums, it looks like there is little to gain in real world performance of 500x8 (or 7x) DDR1000 @ 4-4-4-9 @ 2.24v v/s 450x9 (or 8x) DDR1080 @ 5-4-4-15 @ 2.24v. the 5:6 devider here required lots more attention around the mobo and RAM to keep stable overall. My test was done w/ Q6600 (GO early rev) on ASUS P5K Deluxe.
Can another Q6600 user try it just for fun if you got time to spare, as I find it odd that I am one of few on this forum that can do it, yet I read other on the doing so but in 1:1 RAM sync.

When I am installing Vista Ultimate, can I have my 4GB (on 2 sticks) installed on the mobo with no issues?
Or do you have to start with 1 stick (2GB), install the OS, apply some hot fix, and then install the second stick?
