The reason I ask is I'm using a good one but its rather old, maybe 6 years now
Power bar, PSU, outlet, etc could cause the problem.
Dude, your ripple is at 14.50, that's high by my book if that's remotely accurate. Is there anything else running when you are testing, microwave, washing machine, dryer, big screen CRT TV or some other electrical appliance that takes a good amount of juice?

I don't believe so and honestly not a good idea messing with rails. I would just buy a new PSU. PC Power and Cooling 750 Silencer or the Corsair TX750W are your best bet. IE single rail PSUs are better and power distribution then multi rail. I know, I was finally able to use my ram at it's rated voltage after I got my 750 Silencer.

Well I would guess that , But It didn't do the same thing on my P5K. So You tell me. I'm using the same everything from the P5K.

When you say you could finally use your ram at it's rated voltage with your 750Silencer do you mean you could finally increase the voltage enough or that you could finally lower it because it made it easier to keep stable?

The post your quoted is more for someone else. If you eliminated PSU, power outlets, etc and believe your problem stems from the MB then you must enable spread spectrum, that's the purpose for it. I would set cpu spread spectrum to auto and see what happens. I am not sure how well you will be able to OC with cpu spread spectrum enabled though.

I'm sorry let me further explain. I was able to lower the voltage on my PC8500 from 2.30V to 2.20V when OC'ing. I later found out that it simply wasn't getting enough juice.

Get a 4 to 8 pin adapter. Very cheap and effective.

Will splitting the single 4pin 12v on my PCP&C 510w Turbo Cool SLi really help? Or will it just spread the single rail thinnly?

There is a 36" crt tv running at the time of the test and sat receiver
I dialed back to a conservative 3.4GHz and I ran the test again.

That looks better. Now try it at the higher OC with the TV/Sat off.

You need Everest , in preferences goto external aplications, tick enable shared memory, then in occt under the software choose everest, then enable what sensors you want

I don't think so, I've tried a different power supply (680W) and got the same thing. and mainly the same points in the graph, Also I tried Using dual-power supplies. like the Antec powering just the motherboard and the 680W powering the 8800GTX and my 2 hard drives and the DVD-Burner and No luck.

Here's a hint to all you pushing your vdimms. I am running both memory kits in my rig: the Corsair ir rated at DDRII 1066 @ 2.1v; the Team Xtreem is rated at DDRII 800 @ 2.0-2.2v.

While I was testing for stability at 8x465, with the FSBRAM divider ratio at 5:6, resulting in a DDRII 1116 (5-5-5-18) I LOGICALLY pushed the vdimm to as high as 2.3v. Going by the extreme overclock, at least from the Xtreem ram's perspective from 800-1116, 2.3v would seem justified, even admirable. So whenever stability testing failed, I pushed the vdimm a little bit more convinced that the Xtreem rams were the weakest link. Now, this board over-volts the vdimm by .04 so my 2.3v was actually being reported by everest as 2.34v. Finally, I started looking at the graphical charts under OCCT testing, and noticed vdimm always lowering to around 2.14v. You guessed it, I backed down vdimm to 2.1; +.04v vdimm set me solidly at 2.14v. I run the tests again and I was stable as a rock. And I did it with only 1.53 set for NB in the bios. I used the same observatory strategy as above to determine that as well. OCCT is a very cool app indeed. Cheers!

I don't think what you said helps people with my problem. Because I'm running 2 x 1gb crucial Ballstix tracers PC2-8500, and I'm not even hitting 1066mhz yet and yet the motherboard is pulling them to 1.0 volts? In the bios, I'm running them at 2.20 which is what I could even overclock to 1150mhz in with my P5K. So at 2.20 they should easily do 1045mhz

what brand is the other power supply? just because you've tried using both power supplies to to run the system doesn't mean they can give enough current to the motherboard.

The only other thing that could be causing this problem is the ram itself.

if that's the case a newer bios might fix the problem. bios 0903 seems much more stable than 0901 or 0505 did when pushing a higher speed with the ram.

edit: what is the voltage you are setting in the bios for your ram?
