This is the real question! Why can't Gigabyte give us a Bios with 1.6v through 1.7v that works...1.6v would be fine if the VDROOP was not so horrid...on my board it drops to 1.49v under load I hate to think that I need to change boards to get the best overclock on my QX6700 (secondary system). Any one have some insight on this?

    Thanks,

So the only solution is to flash to an earlier BIOS then... I'll try it when I get home.. cus there is no way getting my E6600 stable enough for 3DMark @ 4ghz @ only 1.54v real.
    Edit: 1.59xxx v at the moment. Real according to CPU-Z - 1.508-1.520v ....

    Bios option removed

Hey guys, i am running f8 bios on my p35c , did anybody notice that High Speed Dram DLL Settings [option 1] is no longer an option in the bios. i was going to give that a try to see if i could overclock higher but it is not there. not that they ever explained what the freaking thing did.

People are saying that it doesn't work on the DS3R and actually provides lower voltages

I am getting a Q6600, thermalright xp120 extreme, p35-ds3l, and i would like to get 4 gigs of ballistix 8500. I hear that 4 gigs has trouble with this board. i have a p35c-ds3r and a p35-ds3l. they got the job done. haven't put 4 gigs on them but think about this for a second....there is only a few people on the boards having issues out of thousands that own them. if you're going to run 4gigs at rated speed you should not have any issues. if you going to overclock the ram...4 gigs has issues on any board then..it's the luck of the draw. if you serious about things you wouldn't be buying a ds3l...that's what i got my wife. $95 on newegg 3 months ago. i paid 160 for my p35c. if you talking overclocking nothing is guarranteed. stock should be just fine. and for all you know these guys having issues may not know what they doing. just an fyi!

    Interesting... 2.13v @ 1040 4-4-4-12

I'm currently running @1050 with +0.20V (2.00v) 5-5-5-15 (2.06V reported in Everest). But tested with +0.10v (1.95~1.96V reported in Everest) and 1066MHz 5-5-5-15. Give it a try see what you can do with only +0.10V.

This is real crappy with the vdroop And I thought the vdroop was much on my Asus P5WD2 Premium.... at least it was real easy to fix with a pencil...

Edit: Now with F9 bios it dropped "only" to 1.504v (according to cpuz) while calculating the Pi ...

I'm using 4x1gb Geil without any problems... well aside from the problems a 32bit OS would bring since you need XP64 or Vista64 to run over 3gb.

Anyways. I noticed the F10 bios is out ... any word on it?
