    Memtest stable without maxi:
    2-2-2-5, 225 MHz, Turbo - PAT on @ 3,19V (VDimm Mod)

    Memtest stable with maxi:
    2-2-2-5, 231 MHz, Turbo - PAT on @ 3,2V

Just 6 MHz better.... not a good result i think????

I think my BH5 suck (!!!!).... raise Maxi up to 3,6V, but 235MHz isnīt possible

Any tips to get in FSB higher?
Or are my BH5 really the problem?

    THANKS loopy
    Ahh......I see you got it.....

Better feed your Northbridge with a bit more Voltage OR your CPU has an FSB limit.....It's TOO low for BH5 chips this frequency, so it has to be your North OR your CPU.....

My CPU runs more than 250 stable. (devider 5:4)
But maybe the Northbridge is really the problem on devider 1:1....
If thats true, i Have the poorest P4C Board in the world

I will try another videocard to raise AGP Voltage from 1,5V to 1,6V.
I think ATI Cards dont like high AGP Voltages.

did you try different memory slots?
how much vdimm do you need without the maximizer to get the same speed stable?

I dont think its the sticks thats are the problem , can you check whats writed on the ic for me and post it , i have tested many bh5 sticks and old twinmos bh5 have no problem to make 260mhz+ and can take 3.6vdimm+ without any problems.

    I use 3.55-3.6v 24/7 on my 4x512mb old bh5

without the maximizer 225 are stable at every voltage up to 3,19V. More was not psooible with the VDimm Mod on my Board.
Do you think the other Slot work better with my sticks?
    I will try it!

Many other users say, that BH5 work not so good on 865/875... NF2/3 are better for BH5.
My sticks are pretested on NF2 with 252 MHz ans 3,3V.... i bought them used in a german hardware forum.

But what other reason can cause my bad results?

I was looking for a DDR Maximizer with DDR3 PCB but i couldnīt find one. Wrote a Mail to Plaisio who has the Maximizer in Stock but i couldnīt read the greek-written Mail

A Mail to Hipro-tech wasnīt answered. Maybe the Mail got lost in Cyberspace

K then its not the sticks.... i have tested 311we(512mb) also and they like 260mhz+ and 3.6v+ , looks like the mainboard or some setting in bios..

    Other slots doesn´t work too.
Mistakes in Memtest on 231 Mhz.... the other slots are mistake free....

    BAD BAD BAD:....

Next step in AGP frequency is in BIOS 72/36... a bit too much i think.
smaller steps are possible with ClockGen.... but no Memtest in Windows, not the real version.
Raise AGP frequency looks like to solve problems with my northbridge.... but 1,7V on NB doesn´t help. Or i am wrong?

Anybody here with P4C800 Board and BH5 with 250+ FSB?
can this guy make some pictures from all BIOS settings, depend on RAM and CPU settings...

Should I open a new Thread? This problem is far away from maximizer topic.

yeah id say open a new thread.
well in every stepping of bh5 there are some bad chips... its not like every chip from a certain week clock well, so maybe your unlucky... try one stick and then the other stick and check if one is a lot better than the other

231mhz with 3.2 is more than a bad chip.... if it hade been a bad chip it would hade been more like 245-250mhz 3.2v. 231mhz 3.2v and more vdimm dont help then its the board or something else if its old bh5 like this time.

    Trust me on this one

Test ONE memory module at a time.....Maybe one of them is bad....IF not, find the "better one" of those two and mark it as "1" and always place it first in the slots.....

@ DonBanana: DDR3 PCBs will be out at early January....

    I AM GOING CRAZY !!!

New test.... 235 MHz... one 512 MB stick in slot 1:
3,3V errors in Memtest vers3.3 on beginning of test 6.
3,25V no error for the whole loop.

no changes beetween this two tests except the VDimm.

My BH5 don´t like high voltage

I will test some other sticks.... maybe i can buy some for a good price.

I'd love one that could give me 5v on DDR400. My old BH-5s scale really well with voltage, even 3.95v to 4v gave me an increase.

    Hello,

i have a huge problem with my maximizer.

Board is a Asus Commando with two D9GMH 1024 sticks.

In cases, where the maximizer voltage is lower then the board vdimm voltage.... all is fine.... display shows the right voltage of the board.

but when i start raise the vdimm with the small switches (over the vdimm of the board) my maximizer will become very very hot.... i think the hot spot is in the left corner in the back.

I can not check, if the voltages of the maximizer are shown correct in the BIOS hardware monitor, because the maximizer is untouchable hot... so i better shut down the system. Will not destroy the device.

    So where is the mistake?
Is the device broken or are there just mistakes in handling?
I think i should not lift up one leg of the VDimm coil.

I hope you understand my problem.... and can help me....

Are there other options to get a technical support for this device?
