    Well, as it appears a 3GHz Wolfdale part (or even 2.83) would be quite enough to match the tri-core, at least in the 3dm06 test. And with way smaller die size, the price can be set pretty low.

    maybe some one can "unlock" the xtra core and turn it into quad. kinda like that one guy that accidently turned his single core s939 into a dual core 3800 x2 here on XS cant remember where the thread went tho.

    i dont think thats possible, especial when the core is physical disabled
