Some x38 boards offer both, I know the Gigabyte P35C-DS3R does (if I remember right). I have the abit IX38 and really like it with DDR2, but I upgrade every two years or so and move to the latest and greatest.
I prefer X38 with DDR2

Not sure yet, still researching
I prefer to wait for the price to drop: DDR3 &/or X38 MB
I prefer P35 instead of X38
I am not interested in a Intel chipset
