Yea, I wasn't going to mention that because it's still showing on price watch.

However, NCIXUS has stock of 3870's as well and cheaper!

-no, they don't say "backordered" although out of stock would have been prefered
-it does read 2-5 day shipping and Avail says "YES"
-After further review it appears they will be in stock early next week. Lets hope that the prices hold.

But, as soon as they get some more in stock, I'll be grabbin' one.

There are plenty of 3850's in stock at the egg and it has pretty much been that way since release. No such luck with the 3870s, indeed there seem to have been a lot fewer shipments of those than 8800GTs which have been coming in and selling out on a regular basis.

You can find out how much of something the 'egg has in stock if there is no limit on the orders you can place on the item. You just add the item to your cart, put in 100 for the quantity (that is generally the max order quantity) and then just hit the update quantity button. If it is under 100 it will update the number to how many they have left in stock. If there are over 100 in stock it will leave it at 100. If there is a limit on how many you can order it will just give you that limit (assuming that the limit is less than how many are left in stock).

Here is an example:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131071

I'm showing 31 left at the moment.

Which is why I canceled my first order from NCIX and got the 3870 I have from the egg when they first had them in stock. Would like to get a second but only place I can find that has them in stock is ZZF and at $289 I'll just wait a bit.

Newegg price gouging? Shocker!

3850s seem to be selling well, they restocked them earlier and now they're back close to sold-out levels

In same way people buying Bugatti Veyron are idiots, all Ferrari owners are idiots and so on. I think it's not right to call anyone that way . If someone has more money and want to spend it, it's his business ...

Bugatti Veyron costs more than a million £ to make and they sell it at £875,000. So they are actually selling at bargain price and any person buying that car is in no way an idiot for doing it.

Anyway i bought 3870 at higher price because i been waiting a year to upgrade my PC with a DX10 graphics card. Even with the prices being higher then what they should be the card was still £30 cheaper then 8800GT which comes with crappy drivers but with bit better performance. Price gauged or not i wanted that card because i got to play Gears Of War, Crysis, Assisin's Creed, Bioshock etc.
