BTW - for pencil mod use 2B or 3B pencil - HB or H-class is too hard. Remember that You have to get as much as possible graphit on the resistor.
Cover Your work with a small piece of electrical tape so that it cannot be blown away from there if You use case fans or fans blowing to the mobo.

Do you think airflow will ruin the mod? What about problems with tape on the other resistirs? THX

    Erm, also replying to camouflage:

Most ASUS volt and droop mods are applied to CAPACITORS.

The graphite works as a resistor that increases the discharge current of the energy stored in the capacitor beneath.

I am having a small problem.
I have a Cooler Master 690 and it has no standard case speaker two pin connection that is typical and connects to the system panel connectors.

It has a AC 97 and HD Audio cables. Does one of these plug into the pins AAFP1 on the back of the motherboard sound card? This must somehow be the reason I have no case speaker cable- two pin cable.

I cannot find anything in the ASUS manual about this aafp1 connector on the P5E sound card.

Yes I think so reason for the tape. Also the board is sitting vertical and some of the graphite can drop off.

Tape can't effect the other resistors.

Not ruin - but time after time You will get some small Vdroop when fans blowing away the graphit....., no problems with the tape mate, don't use a 10 inch piece - only a small one sized equal to the size of the resistor or a little bit larger.
