Do you think a evercool chipset cooler would fit on the southbridge?

Need to be careful with CPU PLL voltage. Intel specifies a maximum of 1.55 volts. Excessive PLL voltage can degrade the max FSB of the processor. I have no figures of what would be allowable for 24/7 use but I would not use more then 1.75 volts as that may even be to much. I do know from personal experience that continued use of an elevated PLL voltage above 1.75 volts will lower the max FSB of the processor.
Would depend on how close to optimal the GTL voltages were at the previous settings and how much headroom is left in the components for an even further overclock.
The GTL voltages are derived from VTT. Also, the values of GTL in the BIOS are not a set parameter. You can see this looking at one of the VTT/GTL tables. Picking some arbitrary values will show this. If at a VTT voltage of 1.20 the setting in the BIOS of 80/80/80 results in a reference voltage of 67% of VTT raising VTT to 1.28 may result in some other percentage.
So if a person's previous settings resulted in an optimal setpoint for GTL raising VTT will require an adjustment of GTL to bring them back to the optimal value.
Increasing the other voltages in the BIOS alters the impedance of the circuits, increases noise levels and temperatures. All of these change what the optimal value of GTL may be.
Heh, I lowered the PLL voltage back to 1.55 and it crashed within minutes, just as I was typing a reply here in fact.. So I've jacked it back up to 1.75v.. Is the PLL chip the one on the motherboard that SetFSB asks you to identify, or a chip on the processor?
And one more thing, would lowering the PLL and jacking up the vcore produce the same result? Can either compensate for another? I'd try but I don't have water cooling and it's already touching 70deg on the warmest core folding..

Cool! I can't wait to hear how it went. Unlike you I break hardware just by looking at it. I have the Noctua (is that a pretty chipset cooler or what? It's almost a shame to put it in a closed case) on a 680i board I'll swap if it works out better on this LP.
Edit: Great, I'll try the Noctua. I haven't had as good results with the Transpiper as you've had going by the SG PWM measurement and after sacrificing an entire tube of MX-2 (note to self: Use ceramique for filling the holes in the Transpiper clamps). That 90 degree heatpipe? I have a feeling mine is broken at the bend, it doesn't get warm beyond the bend.
I wonder if I can still get something out of the Transpiper by sticking one end of the "fork" into the PWM slot and bypassing the ell pipe and extra clamp

The Phase Lock Loop circuitry is part of the processor. The digital and analog supply voltages for the circuit are supplied from the board.
Normally increasing the PLL voltage only helps with the CPU FSB wall. Who knows why. Possibly an apparent reduction in jitter by increasing the voltage? But anyway what you will usually see is once PLL needs to be increased the processor has pretty much reached the end of the road as to much more of an increase of FSB can be tolerated.
I already told you ...You need to adjust you're CPU VTT GTL if those values are incorrect then you will crash within minutes maybe longer but they need to be adjusted properly and that takes allot of work and hair pulling
As Praz said don't put more than 1.75 CPU/SB PLL voltage................

Alright folks, having a very frustrating problem.
The PC right now:
E6600
6200 LE
2X512MB Crucial Ram
Don't ask why, but my other stuff is not in right now.
Any way this is the problem.
I installed windows, I boot in, pop in the LP disc, install the network drivers, chipset drivers, and Smart guardian.
I restart, and I figure it should detect my internet through the cable, but it dose not. I usually had no problems on my other board, by just popping it in and have it be detected. So I go into Network Connections and it's blank. Completely blank. I have tried both ports, and both light up when the lan cable is plugged in.
Any ideas?

Interesting.
That did work C-N, but I still have no icons at all, but can connect to the internet.
I'm pretty sure this is a windows problem, relating to a missing .dll
I'll search round.

Ok I'm back.
Just wondering what the name of the speed step thing is in the bios.
I have disabled everything that sounds like it and yet it still clocks it self down. (cpu)
