    i thought that they didnt have pins on the bottom of the chip?
    the last pic looks like it has tiny ones, about 2/3 mm

    It is socket AM2/AM2+ compatible therefor it has pins.

    I thought it would have a better heatsink.

    What kind of temperatures do you get on the stock heatsink? Stock clock speeds...

    I think AMD want heat to be a problem with OCing rather than the CPU being the limit

    Amd still uses pins on their desktop cpus, they only changed the server versions to pinless design.

    as for the cooler, it seems the same as the one that came with the single core k8's, they should atleast have used the one that came with the higher end x2's and FX.

    It's news to me because it means people from here will start getting their hands on them and start doing some real world testing. Some good O/Cing. We might find out a little more about these chips from people on here.
