Thread: Hangin with EVGA at the GeForce LAN

Hangin with EVGA at the GeForce LAN

Had a blast at the Geforce LAN this weekend doing some live DI overclocking demos using next generation NVIDIA/EVGA SLI platform with Yorkfield and 8800 ULTRAS in SLI. FUGGER flew in to hang out and help with the benching. I am thinking about giving FUGGER Gorrilakos's title of craziest driver now after driving all over Oakland looking for DI on Saturday . I think he/we got his money's worth out of that hyundai from Hertz lol. Also got to meet well know AMD freak s7e93hn and show him how to bench DI....rofl just kidding bro.

Special thanx to EVGA for getting me out there to do some benching and letting me COMPLETELY trash their booth for about 24hrs .

SLI is coming back with a vengeance on the ORB. Liquid Nitrogen + 2 gpus soon, then it will be time to add some more HP on the gpu side...might be time to do some 2003 benching again then
I hand carried the mobo and chip back on the plane just to make sure they made it home alright after my bag with all the containers got lost on the airlines and didnt show up till mid day saturday.

The board clocked the quad pretty damn good, 460FSB on air un-modded with a little work wasnt too tough and they have added some new features/adjustments to the bios which should help with quad/fsb overclocking.
We tried to make a push for the 2006 record 100% DI cooled late saturday/early sunday am after already pounding the rig almost non-stop with 75Lbs of DI, but we started to lose hardware left and right and decided keeping the mobo alive was more of a priority at that point lol. Send all of your dead hardware to Charles people...he performed some voodoo with a hairdryer on one of my dominator sticks at about 4:30AM to keep the benching going .

Did manage to take out 3DMARK 2001 using 100% DI cooled rig which was killer...omg on the LN2 the scores will be so SICK. I won't dis george and post the score on the ORB as it is pre-release mobo, the LN2 results will go there when the platform is launched officially. Can still check out the screens though:

    SYSTEM SPECS

NVIDIA/EVGA Next gen SLI platform/INTEL QX9650 DRAGON EVO 2.4 DI cooled
    2X EVGA 8800ULTRA SLI Tek9 3.0 DI cooled
    2 Gig CORSAIR DOMINATOR 10000C5
    Thermaltake 1200w PSU

    2001

    2006

Bios is beta so pay no mind to the name of the chipset in cpuz.
Didn't take any pictures from the event... if you were there and want to share them feel free to in the thread.

Yea..the scores are..... alright.... for Dice...nothing special y'know

J/K Vince...the scores are great- the GPU clocks in particular are above what I expected to see from Dice.

I can barely imagine how Charles must be driving, if it is really worse than GoriLLakoS driving style ^^

The scores you put up on just DI are impressive! Excellent work Vince!

Oh is CPU-Z reading the Vcore right? If it is, you have a hell of a CPU ...

The screenshots show the chip to be an ES. The issue is with the retail version.
