Just wanted to say thanks Ace-a-Rue

Followed your guide for the bolt mod and it dropped my PWM temps 20 degrees when at load

One issue I keep having though is I have a western digital 500GB external hdd. Now if the hdd is idle for a bit the hdd sort of goes to sleep. Then if I try to access it or try to open my bookmarks in firefox for example I have to wait a few seconds for it to wake up. I can actually hear when it goes to sleep and when it wakes up. It even does it with a 160gb freecom external hdd, I was testing to see if it was a feature specific to the WD hdd, it wasn't.

It happens in both xp pro x86 and vista x64. On my old asus p5wd2-e premium this never happened. Is this normal or is something wrong?

i'm glad that i thought of it...it was one of those passing moments that i said to myself, "what can i do to help me get a higher overclock."...the thought came to mind; yank the heatpipe to see how good of contact it was making...all the rest is history.
