Nice results, thanks for sharing
Awaiting TRUE-120 and subzero results!
That stock cooler actually looks decent, I wonder if the lower end models coming in Jan2008 sport the same cooler?

For a long haul computer getting an extreme edition might be a worthwille investment, if you are willing to bet Nehalem won't overclock as good as penryn.
The reasoning being that this baby at 4.4 will probably be faster than a regular Nehalem... (Nehalem might be fast but hey not that fast)
very nice cpu...i look forward to buying one after xmas![]()

If Yorkfield does 4.4GHz on a beefed up stock, imagine what it'll do on the silent towers! I'm glad I grabbed an E2140 to hold me over for a Q9450!

stock cooler looks nice![]()
And what makes you says that? Nehalem even @ stock should be at least 2x as fast. From what i know it will have 3x bandwide then curent cpu's. It's to early to know what Nehalem will bring. But i think you will be suprised how fast it is. I'm a bit sceptical how MMC will do at sub zero.
Anyway retail @ 4.4G is plain sick for now, that's 4 cores fo you over 4G's on air 24/7![]()

If I am not mistaken, the Nehalem CPU will be 32nm Die. So that right there will give it a lower TDP. So I think not only will it be able to clock as high but probably with less power as well.
Whould be great to see maximum clock which passes several hours of Prime95 Small FFTs test.
if you get 30 minutes that would be monumental...it's a waste of energy to put a processor through hours upon hours to prove absolutely nothing because a stable system does not have to be P95 stable.

well..that is your arbitrary definition...your stable definition is your definiton...you need to go buy the chip and see if you can get it to do what "you" want it to do....power to you!but, don't expect others to fulfill your definition.
