    2. Coretemp 0.95.4 read only core 0, and coretemp 0.95 crashes the system.
clear cmos and then go into bios and set "defaults"...save and re-post back into bios...reset your individual settings and then save...Uguru should work after that.

    use only coretemp 0.95.4.

did you solve your PIO trouble ?

I just got same issue with my system HDD ( got 5mo/s in HDtune insteed of the 55mo/s ???) I was in PIO mode and can't change the setting in windows or in bios .

After checking google I found the way to reactivate the UDMA mode :

GO in regedit and look after these key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}00x

the ?00x is your supposed number for your PIO drive

when you found it , deleted it ( save it first if you want) and reboot, now all should be fine.

My first attempt was wrong drive number but at the second one I got success. I had to reinstall my intel chipset driver by the way.

In my case I have had to deleted the n°0002 , here is a picture of it:

Now, all seems to be fine.

Hope it solve your trouble too.
Good to know, but I already did a low format on both drives, going to reinstall windows today.

Where can you get the absolute latest BIOS updates for the IP35-E, betas included? I can't seem to find a consistent source, even the official abit site(s).

    EDIT:
BTW My C2D works perfectly, both cores detected by BIOS and in windows.

here is the folder to download bios 13 for the IP35 and IP35-E.

it appears this is the newest release...Abit's USA website still shows bios 12 as the latest....always a good idea to go to the FTP site to check...their website is the last thing to get updated.

i don't think you would show 2 cores, 2 threads in CpuZ if one core was dead...usually, lower bench scores mean a run down OS or video driver problem.

kidding aside, the Pro is an excellent board receiving the "Gold" award from Anandtech website.

Has anyone else had trouble with the onboard network adapters? I had one die a couple of weeks ago and after a reboot tonight the other one just didn't come back on. Lucky I had a PCI card in a drawer to put in, I guess.

Using bios11 at the moment but have been thinking of flashing up to 14. Funny thing is Vista shows both adapters as working properly but they lose all connectivity with my router. You think this could be a bios problem?

I thought about it being Vista so tried booting XP instead but same thing. Router works fine with the DLink pci card and my laptop so I doubt it is that. I will try the bios update and reset tonight to see what happens.

same here for me...been a great board up to now with the 16 beta bios...i had NIC controllers dropping off line but that was caused by a malfunctioning wireless "G" router...since replacing the controller, i have no problems.
