    Actually if you had any idea what you were talking about you'd realize that the chips will only get better. Look at the engineering samples of C2D's and you'd find that they didn't clock as well as the retail versions. The A1 stepping of the C2D were just about all engineering samples (although I do believe they sold some A1 stepping retail chips for a week or 2 before B2.) The B2 stepping chips clocked better than the A1 (all engineering samples were A1 stepping.)

    Here's a tip for ya: You may want to do a little research before making such a bold statement.

    Vcore, cooling, mobo, DDR2 or DDR3, RAM frequency and timings?

    Just wondering how the Wolfdale does against the Yorkfield.

    Vore 1.6v on the last try.
    MB: Asus Maximus Formula DDR2
    Mem: single DDR2 Ocz PC2 8000 / Geil PC25300

    I can't get it up and running with dual mem, only single.
    I am stile trying to find the Max FSB.
    My max for now is 480, but I think it's more to go. I just have to figure out how..

    Just a quick clarification, ES's and early retail chips were "B1", not "A1"... A1 stepping was earlier, and clocked very poorly.

    And also, ES B1's on the whole clocked better than B2's.
