Looks like a really nice well layed out board, One thing that does annoy the hell outta me though,

If your going to spend that amount of money on buying a board so you can do Triple SLI , you are obviously going to want to spend money on a top notch sound card aswell. WHERE THE HELL DO YOU PUT THE SOUNDCARD ???????

They need to put PCI slots above the PCI-E would be a good start.

will triple sli work with the drivers out now..? (perhaps not good, but will it work..?)

680i 3-way sli will come... how and when..? (driver update, or..?)

and what about that 3way bridge..? do all 680i owner have to buy it? I have like 4 flex bridges here, possible to run 3way sli with those.. ?

    thanks,

Now lets' see if Asus gets it right this time around with Nvidia's MCH. I nearly got sick and tired of replacing all the da** P5N-E/P5N32-E/Striker boards with eVGA boards.

I think it's time to change form factor. ATX is just to small nowdays. Many highend VGA comes with double slot coolers and multi GPU means no expansion slots left. The cooler I'm using for my VGA takes up 3 slots and I had to choose mobo with PCI slots at the end because I have Audigy 2 and TV card. My choices are quite limited and in future I don't think I can get high-end boards because boards are coming off with less PCI slots nowdays.

I believe there is already an Asus motherboard on the market that has a PCI slot up top. I forget what model it is though.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't nVidia been looking into how to do audio on their cards?

I think this could be why.... motherboards just not big enough for tri-SLi and a soundcard.

It would be really interesting to try and see watercooled tri-SLi pulled off on that board... If you had a block on the CPU, the NB, the 3 cards... wow... soooo much tubing. I wonder if even the blocks themselves would fit between all that.
