weird how the price for mem is varying so much from one country to the other and too bad its so expensive compared to other kits in some countries
in germany its the same price or cheaper compared to other brands![]()
nice results![]()

It's logical, since cellshock is a German company. Here is on par with other high end modules too and sometimes a bit cheaper...![]()

@camouflage: 2.45V for 24/7? omg, if you don't have some very nice airflow over them they're so gonna die on you, I've read (and felt it on my skin) that these D9GKX ICs can't handle more than 2.25-2.3V for 24/7...

Don't worry about - these baybies can bare a lot more:

Powered with 2.81 Vmem and still alive................
BTW - got 2 x 120mm Papst fans blowing to the mobo & RAM section....

high voltage isnt the problem i thinki, i thought it was heat but i now think the biggest problem is voltage fluctuation. the more mem you use and the more chips on each stick, the heavier they pull amps when the board boots or reboots or even when it goes from idle to load... i think those voltage fluctuations actually damage and kill the mem, not the voltage being high.
the higher you set the volts on your board the more it fluctuates though, so this doesnt mean high volts are not dangerous. i think the best is to use a maximizer as it keeps the mem voltage stable no matter what.
which rails does the RAM use? if it uses +3.3V and +5V then my PSU killed both of my kits![]()

depends on the board, im not up to date but in the late ddr1 days most high end boards switched from 3.3v to 5v to create vdimm.
im pretty sure most ddr2 boards use 3.3v to create vdimm though since the target voltage is 2.5v max for most boards and 3.3v is just fine for that.
hm, now I'm confused. My PSU has a noticeable ripple only at +5V rail, and I think that might have killed my RAM, cause it didn't ever receive more than 2.36V (with OCZ RAM cooler). And Cellshock RAMs don't die easily, don't know what is it anymore... thnx anyway
