    QX9650, Asus P5E3 WS and OCZ PC3 1600 = 5984Mhz and 7'891s at 1Mo \56K warning/

To the official lauch, Intel France give us an amazing lot of Penryn.
It was composed of 8 Penryns with 3 diffrent steppings.
2 of JMH Team members realised a demo for Intel ressellers and Press. Some of this Penryn were clocked under 2 stages.
Then, we decided to select the best under LN2 to show this to another demo, but in public this time.
One of them seems to coldboot later than the other and had a good reaction under LN2.

Saturday Night (fever :p), with 40L LN2 on stock and 6 clockers, we can't spent this night at Jmax_oc home without a little clocking night.
    And What a night !
First of all, we need a DDR3 motherboard ( we were helped by an OCZ DDR3 1600Mhz kit and an PC Power & Cooling 750W Power supply). We search on the net the vcore mod for P5E3 WS, but, no result. But, Remzeyr succeed in finding it by his own, and Foxhound trys this. Amazing, it works! So we put the LN2 pot under our best Penryn, we adjust the vcore to get 1.95V
We try at the beginning the sub 8 at Superpi 1Mo. With a frequency of 5700Mhz, Foxhound at clocking and Florian76 at LN2 flooding realized the first French 7,9XX, 7'967 first, then 7'953. We noticed that we needed to find good DDR3 timings / FSB frequency, with the purpose of getting in 7'8XX clock.
Jmax_oc try just later, helped by Traxman to the flood, he adjust timing/ frequency/ ratio to be the most succesfull. And it carried the waiting result with a true 7'891 at Superpi 1Mo, so the 2nd best superpi result.
Then, we thought of testing the max freqency of this amazing processor. Tested previously at 5.8Ghz, but, but we had the feeling that it's not the best we can find with this. So, with -127° we pushed this QX9650 at 5984Mhz (valid) and 5990Mhz (movie), so it's probably the Core 2 Duo World Record Frequency

Whats a night my friends !!!

Congrats guys. Are you happy about hitting 5990 MHz or pissed off about not hitting 6 GHz?
