    This is a sick E6550 i think.....but 7 multi unfortunaly

i get my hands on a few E6550 and after a wile testing on my Asus p5k-E i find this one

    Realy budget overclocking

    Asus P5k-E
    intel E6550 cpu
cpu voltage 1.45-1.50 (doesent matter much)
board everyting auto except vcore and vmem

    Max air 1m

    Max air dual 32M

Max 1m single stage (vapochill Ls)

    max 32m single stage

    Pifast single stage

    Validation max fsb

I'm gona try this on ln2 to see what stops first on fsb ......board or cpu .
just for fun.... sorry about the multi.....

nb was at auto setting , pll voltage 1.70 , tried 1.80 max board but didn't help.

i tried max board 1.70v m8 but didn't help....colder is the important thing here, so you have to set it between voltage and temp....why 1.60v on it if it does the same thing at 1.45 ?

I'm gona try it at ln2 when i have some again, i wil post here. be patient.

Yeah when ur hitting FSB wall vcore doesnt help, but temp (and often vccpll) does. So the lowest vcore for stable is best.

Great cpu you have , amazing that you hit 600+fsb with just 1.7v pll voltage .
Did you try to turn off one core?

Very nice CPU indeed. I also got one doing 3.5GHz 1.22v prime stable and 3.8GHz 1.35v prime stable with Thermalright extreme
Unfortunately the FSB is maxed out to 545MHz on my P5K3 dlx.
