ICS 951462 . And i fried my ballistix too . They are in RMA right now. Thinking of getting rid of this setup and going for an ABit IP35 Pro and E6550/E6750 . But I dont know yet , coz there are rumours that Phenoms are launching pretty soon in Nov.

well i duplicated ur results of 1140mhz memory and she is running great.... but it seems as if i have hit a brick wall, as it won't go above 3080mhz and 1180 memory...

seems like the processor and/or board is limiting me... the memory wants to go more, i even tightened timings and it did it fine.. so..

AT LEAST I GOT GOOD MEMORY

i bet the board goes on and on . its the processor thats holding you back. Maybe cooling ?? One of my cores runs about 7C hotter than the other. I just want to get a screw down hsf so i can pop the ihs .

Cooling I'm fine on, even my swiftech mcr 220 ultra plus kit with two 78cfm fans is handling that fine along with cooling my memory chips is fine. She will get about 45 C on both cores, and both of them seem to be staying within 2-3 C of each other. My video card is overclocked and I'm going to tweak that some more, that peaks out at 57 C and idles at 38-40 C. It also helps to have ambient temps of 68-70 degrees , its cold at my apt

Currently my dram voltage is 2.24 and my cpu voltage is only 1.425 i think or a little above that, HT voltage is up... I'll post a screeny

The processor is definitely holding me back. Since my water cooling kit is compatible with everything I'm going to just upgrade it as I will be going to higher clocking things eventually.

I'm going to lap my GPU and CPU waterblocks, as I haven't, and install a Black Ice Pro III radiator with 3x120mm 85cfm fans on it. I will probably save up and when something good comes out just upgrade my motherboard, memory, cpu.... or just my cpu and memory. This memory could do more but I doubt it could go to 1300mhz or higher....which idk, how high have the highest sticks clocked to?? LOL

possibly...after he mods it and does the 5000+ black edition... i will be buying it off of him along with whatever else... lets just say the person doing it knows his stuff and this should be good

Here is what I'm currently running:

I also got the 10% extra current working for the video card and set my max watts to 175. It previously wasn't working at all with the extra current...and the motherboard for some reason doesn't like posting....I have to either hard reset it or power off and power back on...it won't leave the bios and then repost...but it does save and exit...just won't post

here is my video card so far...its not much but the limits 803 and 1080 i believe...i will double check that.

well i think since I ran into a little bit of $$ I'm going to spiffy up my watercooling kit with my own custom box and a 3x120mm radiator with my current 2x120mm radiator and also buy the BE 5000+ CPU... and if i have any left after that i'm going to invest in some better memory (higher binned, and higher MHZ)

sweet!!! Cant hardly wait. Im going Intel soon though. Getting a sweet deal that I cant pass up. So my board + Processor are in the market. To those who do not know , I have the same board. Actually I had it before ZL1 . Neways , should be nice to see how high u can get the black edition. I have no problems pumping the fsb up but my 3600+ only wants to play at 3.0 ghz ( one core fails coz its having a bad contact. )

well this black edition is givin me crap too, thats just luck. Wish i could get a handpicked cpu thats decent from AMD... i got the time to review and write up things but always get crap.

    currently she is running 3.3ghz @ 1.62v
    ram is running 2.24v (mushkin d9 chips, 5-5-4-12 @ 240fsb = 1200 HT)
    ram is doing good...

but simply at 1.5v @ 3.3ghz it just restarted on me. did 3dmarks and superpi fine... even played Hellgate london all night...went to play timeshift this morning and Nero recode another dvd and BAM..restart... so i'm trying this new voltage... and CPU temps are somewhere in the 43-52C range

i work at Fry's . If you want I can get a cherry picked cpu for you. Tell you the dates and the batch. I wont get any discounts but at least you can get a cpu with a decent stepping if you want. Im going C2D soon. Tired of this AMD crap. Might switch back to AMD soon. Right now , looking for money to upgrade gfx/cpu/mobo. I already have good ram with me.

well either the board is dead after running perfectly fine for months or something is wrong somewhere.

the computers off. I go and hit the power button to turn it on, and then it powers up everything for a split second...and then OFF and my enermax galaxy 850 beeps at me saying somethings wrong.

used to, i could turn it completely off (psu switch off), wait for a full power down (all lights off) and then flip the psu back on and power the computer up fine.
now it just won't cut back on...so i'm on my laptop right now....

I got NFS pro street, hellgate london, and crysis...and now i can't play any of them....

i know for a fact my ram is fine. its gotta be something on the board and the cpu never got too hot either...so idk. its gotta be the board.

now to invest in a GREAT board... even if it means buying one of the new ones 7xx version of the AMD boards that are 170+ up to 270$$
DFI really disappointed me with the QUALITY of this board.

i guess im going to check into that Gigabyte 270$$ board at newegg since thats what AMD is going to....

before you do that , i would highly recommend checking out MSI's 7xx chipset board. I have had nothing but good luck with MSI boards in the past. DFI , MSI and biostar are the only board makers that I usually even think about buying from.

well, money isn't as issue. I saw the gigabyte board and they say with memory speeds above 1000mhz its not stable or doesn't like it, so screw that.

my previous MSI board for my 939 socket was a POS.
my WAY long ago with a barton core DFI board was the ****!!!! it ROCKED worlds ...but thats when things were simple...

I will see how things go but I'm seriously looking at getting my desktop up and running again SOOOON! as school and work require me to have a decent computer to run programs and such

well, im not quite sure yet BUT, this weekend I will be able to check it out. I think that my PSU..yes i said it, my PSU not the motherboard is messed up.
and why my Enermax 850W PSU might be messed up is beyond me... i love the durn thing and heard so much about it!!!!

1 problem tho, i can't seem to find my reciept for it online or in my email and why i would have deleted it, and just it when i bought all my new hardware at the same time. can't even find a log of it on newegg....hhhhhhmmmm...might be able to get it RMA'd, cuz i definitely bought it a year ago and its a 3yr warranty
