Gears of War (PC) Nov 6th Release

Gears of War is releasing on Nov 6th people! Hope to see some others playing! Rumor has it that the game is not even as demanding on your computer as UT3 or CoD4 but the graphics look sweeeet.

I played it on the 360, and i have to say looking at the previews, the PC version totally owns it, new SP campaign chapters and a lot of new multi P maps, not to mention better graphics, 360 owners must wish they had a PC now XD.

    So much for exclusivity.

this game was always meant for a keyboard and mouse.
now I can finally play it how it was meant to be played...

yet another fuxing port, like oblivion, like bioshock like UT3 (where PC max out = console).. i have no problem with ports as long as they dont dumb down PC verison , so that PC max out which requires a $500 vid card most of the time, and in return PC max out = 360 version, that i have problem

also many games where the levels/interactions was dumbed down b/c 360's shltty 512MB shared system RAM cant handle it

    Wrong, wrong, WRONG!
Have you actually researched the changes they've been making?
Higher resolution textures, improved the graphics in general (adding proper AA-support etc) re-tweaking the controls for keyboard/mouse, adding new multiplayer-content, a whole new act.....
If you just research a bit, you will realize how much work Epic's put into the game to make it worth the PC...

do people even bother to think about what they type?

Oblivion was not a port from the consoles to the PC.
but from the PC to the consoles.

thats one game I was playing the second it was available (no joke, I was up at midnight, took 2 days off, and got my download from IGN's "Direct2Drive" service, cause I didnt want to wait for shipping and such)

i know i played oblivion on pc, with 7800GTX SLI iirc ... the GUI of that game sucked obviously port from console, on 1600x1050 it only displayed like 8 items ... sure mod took care of it, and i went on to find mod pretty much the second i played it, with mod oblivion is tons better than that shltty arse 180 box

only when u crank everything up the PC version was slightly better ... due to better texture, and higher anisotropic ..etc

umm, and all those non-PC-only levels were built form ground up , yeah right,
the game was made for 360, so its a port, dont care if its a good port or bad port, its a port

face it PC max out will only be tiny bit better looking than 360, of course the extra levels (mark rein said only added 20% more single player campaign)

if it was developed for PC then port to 360, then maybe ... u will see better looking games than crysis , but nooo epic loves PS3/360,

Well, it's... it.. it is amazing, just amazing, i.. i dunno what to tell. It's one of the most atmospheric and great design-wise games i played sor sure! Gameplay mechanics, of course, need some getting used to, especially for those who are pc-addicted(like me :p ) but... you know, this level design, this sound and music, this feeling of an "ashes"(those who played the game before will get what i mean) of once a great civilization - only this is worth to play it! And i'm not even saying a word about exciting gameplay.
And performance-wise, epics pwns every1 in optimising their engine. Im playing on a signature' rig with everything on high in 1024*768 under xp pro sp2 x86\169.04. Of course sometimes framerate can drop down, but in game im getting a 30-60 fps most of the time. Crysis's antipod

Maxes out 1680x1050 in dx10 mode with AA, not a sweat for the 8800GTX.

Having extensively played it on the X360, I must say that this version CRUSHES the xbox360 version, graphically as well as gameplay wise due to the controls.

Also, the "bullet lag" from the 360 version is gone!
