Wow, 290FSB 1:1 on Albatron KT800 fastest timings

Looks like high FSB, lower multiplier 1:1 is the way to go with the Albatron, if my Radeon can take the bus. On the S3 virge, 290FSB 1:1 at tightest timings

The sisoft's ran on a corrupt OS so dunno how the scores get affected, but 3000+ looks good for a 1Ghz CPU.

Still on good old HyperX 3500 but on 3.54 Vdimm. Gonna try using higher Vdimm in a bit

10 X 280 FSB is very possible if I have a Prometeia to use on the CPU! God, dry ice is tempting me again!!!

is that kingston hyperx cas 2,2,2 rated stuff, i assume it is. But you mighta got lucky with a diff rated stick. I'm thinking bout buying a gig of it, jsut not sure if its teh best way to go for ath 64 or not, looks like it might be

You know what chips are underneath the spreaders, a p4 mobo listed kingston hyper x pc3500 in the compatibility list, and seemed to show it having bh-5 chips on. If thats likely, i'll deffo buy it. Though i've seen some kingmax pc3500 that states cas 2/2.5, much cheaper than most i've seen. the red pcb stuff, ever heard, seen it, i can't find a review.

Does that alby have a 1/8 divider at all, not sure? lets hope so anyway. 1:1 at 280 would be completely sweet.

This is great news, and also a great job my friend

I've got 2 sticks of HyperX PC3500 BH5 that love high voltage and high FSB......can't wait to play with A64

That's radical man... I wonder what higher cpu speeds would do.

Holy Sheet 3.54v on the ram!

They will fall at his feet....... But eBay @ZZHOLE still ripped me off!

Mr ice, how high will yours go, fsb/timings/voltage wise, what kinda stick, 512/256.
lardarse, what kinda speeds will that ram do at 3-3.2v?

something isnt quite right there... first off 290 2-2-2-5... sorry but i really dont think thats possible not with any existing chips... and secondly I know the CPU speed is only 1,1 GHz but 3,2 GB/s in sandra?? That seems really low to me... i think Albatron is using slow ass settings like they did on the springdale...even 360 FSB was slow as hell lol

Why the 4x multi? run it a bit higher so you are around 2 GHz at least and then show us some performance at 280

^^^ agreed kinda get the cpu speed up some then give us some more benchies.... the speed should increase as the cpu catches up ... i think ...

Have to agree with JC, 3269/3233MB/s is awefully low for 290MHz with Cas2.

Just as a compare MJ is getting 3500/3490 with memory at 227MHz with Cas2.

ok, i'll do a 280 with a higher multi in a bit. It could also be due to a corrupt OS, but a reformat would take quite some time. Anyhows, I'll be back with some results.

Well this is just posting so you guys don't think I've gone off proposing to my GF or something
The board, went tits up on me.... I originally wanted to go straight to insulating the board then putting it on the chiller but you guys wanted some higher multi bench so I put it back on the default aircooling put voltage to 1.9v and started to find the CPU speed limit on aircool first. After just a short while, it turned off by itself and I felt the HS, was really really hot. NVM I thought, the over temperature protection should have handled it.
Turned the PC back on and the fans spin for 1/4 of a second then stopped. Now thats all it does, with the CPU on it it will just turn on for less than a second then stop. If I remove the CPU it will run fine. If I put in the CPU and unplug the 12v line it will run fine. I'm starting to think my power supply is doing things. The MSI board "died" with this same syndrome. Now I'm waiting for a replacement, but I'm thinking of quickly ordering one online from the nearest retailer if possible. This board shows great promise thus far though I've not really tested the performance yet.
I believe that even if the board is a little bit slower compared to competition, I don't think it will be greater than a 5Mhz FSB speed difference. And put it into equation, thats still 270+ 1:1. The greatest draw for me about this board is the ability to go real high on Vdimm as its derived from 5V.
I wish I could rush out to buy another Albatron right now, the high 1:1 achievable from partly the good ram and high Vdimm allowed.got me hooked!
The CPU is still alive though.

LardArse sorry to hear that about your board.

I take it you liked the Albatron ?? I havn't tried lowering my multi and playing with the memory cause I aint go no memory that will run 1:1 ! hehe

Ok, I've not received the replacement yet, but with a new bios to set to 280 FSB, I'm testing out the Shuttle NF3 right now. Here's 280 1:1 fastest timings available with just 2380Mhz CPU, 3.6 Vdimm.

I think I can do some more FSB as 4v vdimm seems to run well, but I'm getting too chicken §§§§ to run it that high without need to. Too bad the Clock gen doesnt work with this.

Too bad the nf2 does not handle such high voltage/fsb at all... My twinmos are pretty good as well

    Good luck on 3d

holy crap! This is definately good news!

Do you have a good VC that will post some good 3DM scores? Sure hope so.

I also cannot believe those hyperx's.

4.1v took out ram on a 9800 in 24 hours (who was that? I forget..), so I would expect 3.5v ish to be runable 24/7....? 8-)

    EDIT

Dont forget macci ran 3.6v into his ram for 270 2-2-2.

LardArse - please tell me how you get those lower multipliers. does it happen in the bios or are you using clockgen?

Ok, just fixed up the Radeon 9800 P onto it, benched this on an untweaked OS, default Video speed first. This is at 280 x 8.5, 1:1 cas 2.0, 2, 2, 13. 3.64Vdimm <-- best spot yet, 3.7+v works good for a while only, 3.8v is worse. Only 1 stick of 256Mb ram now. LDT at 2X.

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7163022

It seems though that I might have to lower my 1:1 FSB under high vcore/speed, still testing and waiting for the chiller to go down.

flytek, I used clockgen, works great, just that my FSB can't use it as my clockgen is different on the Shuttle.

Tell me guys, cats 3.6 and DX9.0b, good combi for 2001 bench? I don't have Win 2k here.
