NCIX just updated my order status, next step is order processing. I've been on my BFG 7800GTX for 2+ years now, glad I waited for something like this to come along. Hopefully the 9xxx series will be out before my eVGA 90 day step-up is over.
Lowest price right now that is not backordered is ClubIT...$256.97 shipped for the PNY.

Here's what NCIX forum admin had to say when asked if a person would be able to walk into one of their locations and buy one before the end of the week:
quote:
Virtually no chance. We are heavily oversold on these, as is EVGA (and everyone else in the world from what we've been told). We will be very likely receiving additional shipment this Friday, and possibly additional shipments next week, but not 100% confirmed yet.
NVIDIA has a huge hit on their hands. We brought in what we thought was "enough", and even then, we weren't even close. Reminds me of the Wii last year, though I suspect backlog will clear by the holidays (crosses fingers). We've been on the phone with NVIDIA themselves and their board partners all day, so we'll keep updating our customers on what's coming in and when.
We'll update the sticky thread with a daily update if at all possible: quote
That's what I picked up an order for (two of them) a few hours ago, I called and was told my order is shipping tomorrow. Two for $470 shipped via 2-day air, and it includes Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, per an eVGA CSR: http://evga.com/forums/m.asp?m=143259

stock's good enuff .. also now that rivatuner works on Vista even after those force drive signing updates.. u can just oc ur self in XP and vista
i think most ppl can get 750/1750/2000 out of their card, and if the manufacturers gave ur card a bit higher vGPU u can oc even more, my old EVGA GTS was really hot, it was like 10C hotter than my BFG one, but i was able to get 700(core) vs 650 BFG..

hmm the temperature from many reviews got me a bit worry, but according to VR zone its cooler than GTX ... so i dunno ... maybe u just need to put couple fans near the card to get the hot air out ..
