    Hi from Team StorageForum.net

    Hi guys,

Tannin here. I'm with Team Storage Forum.net and, just like you guys, we are a small team trying to fold beyond our weight. We are at #46 with about 15,000 points right now. We only started in earnest a few months ago, after we switched over from Genome@home.

I stumbled across Team Xtreme Systems while I was cruising the Statsman page, and noticed that you guys are cookin! A great effort from a small team. In fact, Xstreme Systems is the only team below us that is crunching faster than we are. 26 active members, better than 2600 points a week, that's some serious crunching from Team XS. We have 20 actives for about 2300 points a week at the moment. So you should be able to catch us, bit by bit, though if either team adds new members it could be interesting - and we will be doing our best to hold you off, of course!

Anyway, I was curious to see who was coming up so fast, so I followed the links to this forum, cruised around, and liked what I saw. There is a great, friendly feel to this place, and some pretty smart cookies here. You guys know your hardware. I particularly liked reading some of the "milestone" posts, where you passed some of the faster folding teams on your way up, as it was like an echo of some of the posts we has over on Storage Forum.net when we passed those same teams a few weeks ago. Right now we have Macrumours in our sights - maybe it's unkind of me to say so, but there ain't nothing more satisfying than passing yet another Apple team.

So: here's hoping that you guys climb further up the rankings and pass lots of more teams. Except us, of course. But we will have to pull our fingers out if we are to stay in front. I predict a knock-down, drag-out, 15 round battle between Team StorageForum.net and Team Xtreme Systems in a few weeks time, with a heck of a lot of crunching going down. Whichever way it winds up, it's good!

    welcome to our sickness

and yes competition is fun especially when we work against each other - it is only to more strongly work together for a common goal.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! And don't worry - I have become so used to wearing my straight jacket that I never go out without it - so I should fit right in. I'll pop over every now and then and say 'gday. Here's to a good, tough fight!

By the way, anytime anyone here feels like slipping over to Storage Forum.net to meet the guys, go right ahead. Tell 'em I sent you.
