That's because i didn't savec much from that cpu , al i could find was a useless 1M superpi run
But it did run during the 6days that i had the cpu at those speeds.

it didn't loose, its has been overclocked to a 3.0ghz speed, but a 3.0ghz phenom would have 2.6ghz NB clock, not 1.6ghz wich indicates this chip is a 2.0 phenom? 50% overclock on air? can't see any E68500 pull that of

I doubt that will make a wee bit of a difference considering these tests were run with a single card. HT bandwith is not the problem here, AMD has that in droves even at 1.6ghz NB clock, certainly more than Intel's FSB. The problem is that the processor is not computing fast enough, all the bandwith in the world won't fix that.

all the flaming over one piss poor comparison is about as irritating as getting pounded in the poopshoot by ron jeremy wearing a sandpaper condom. it all comes down to this: can the average joe buy a phenom or a yorkfield right now? nope didnt think so.

until the chips are available at retail, take these results with a grain of salt as many more of them will follow until the chips are actually released. fwiw its nice to see amd in the same ballpark as intel even if the testing was flawed (gpu bound)

Once again, people are jumping to conclusions. These results aren't just fishy, but SUPER fishy!

In particular the minimum FPS for Phenom.

There is no reason whatsoever, from a hardware perspective, that the Phenom should have such a mediocre minimum FPS score.

Something is definitely amiss.

Actually Helmut I go with the flow, if AMD deserve my money they get it, just as they did from the Thunderbird onwards.. but right now Intel gets the cash because they are the performance kings
