    Why all the negativity..
Phenom stays right with the intel products while running with slower memory
and loose timings. Run the memory @1067 with tight timings and then compare.

That intel core is likely to be over a grand!, but with Amd prices being so attractive why all the snipping? esp considering performence so close with crap timmings etc!!

If you have more money then sense go intel if your wise go Amd

Actually with Penryn overclocking to 4Ghz the wise thing to do would be to wait for January and get the cheap Yorkfield's and Wolfdale's

Seems to me like either there isn't good quad-core optimization or the test is GPU-limited and the X4 just isn't up to snuff.

I'm sure you have good intentions here MSA but the reason this thread is here and not in the News section (which I'm sure you notice has a thread on this too), is for people with less of an Intel persuasion to talk about this.

I'm sure you are having fun interjecting Intel titbits into this thread but all it does is cause people to start flaming each other rather than discuss the thread in point).

So please, rather than add how good the intel chips here, perhaps you could take that information to the news section or start a thread in the intel section.

OK, even with such not exactly fair bench comparison, phenom is ok.

Phenom is at least in par with conroe clock-by-clock wise in almost non-multithreaded environment - considering that yorkfield is 5% faster then conroe.
If yorkfield is more than 5% faster - then phenom is faster then conroe

it didn't loose, its has been overclocked to a 3.0ghz speed, but a 3.0ghz phenom would have 2.6ghz NB clock, not 1.6ghz wich indicates this chip is a 2.0 phenom? 50% overclock on air? can't see any E68500 pull that of

a B3 kentsfield on air 3.8ghz with 1.45v is very decent. Quit the talk, show some proofs. also, are you sure thats 100% stable?
