Might be able to use your existing antenna if it can handle the wattage.
I think the Verizon unlim evdo plan is around $60/month - so aside from the equipment, you'd actually be saving money. Supposedly evdo goes up to 2000kps, but even if it's only 300-400kps, you'd still be in broadband heaven.

If you know someone who's familiar with the equipment and could help set it up, it would be worth trying. Plus you get a thousand geek points for every antenna you plant on your roof. You can't beat that.
sorry I didn't reply! Thanks for the info. I have looked into them but 200 is a lot of money.
I will have to start doing some more research on it again. I started working on it something like a year ago! I got a very nice yagi antenna.

no problemo - you can always check flea-bay or craigslist - just don't respond to any job offers. Heard something on radio about a girl who got lured to her death via a babysitting job on craigslist. Way too many sick B@$t@rds out there.

I have looked on ebay before but they cost more then the ones you posted a link to!

I didn't even think about looking on craigslist.

Well like I said I will have to do some more reading and see if I can find something again.

GIGABYTE GA-G33M-DS2R LGA 775 Intel G33 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Is there a huge difference between the P35 and G33 northbridge chipsets?
I don't understand. This case is not as high as 5U ( it's maybe 3 or 4u high ), and it's definitely not as high as a minitower on his side...
Also i think the cooling on both sides are 120, not sure...

Some nice LianLi case, i7 965 Extreme, FoxConn BloodRage, 3x2GB OCZ Blade 2000, Zotac GTX260, Enermax 700W

I'm probably going to get this silverstone case . It's over 8" high and the cpu will be on the side of the case that has the most vertical clearance - at least if I've got everything figured out correctly. The TRUE 120 is 6.3 inches tall so even with 8.3 inches, it will still be tight - m/b + plate + standoffs is probably close to an inch. In the worst case I'll have to RMA a couple things.

It only has 2 fans, but it looks like I can add one more 80mm fan - can't be sure till I get it. Plus the psu will have a 120mm fan so that should give it enough air.

So I need a very short tower case or a desktop case. But all of these are mini-atx - the decent ones anyway and the m/b I want is ATX. A few more days on Newegg and I might get it sorted.
I went with this one - there is just shy of 7" from mb tray to top. Had the same micro atx or not debate

Yaowzer!!!! You got more scratch than I do. That's out of my price range. I shouldn't be building this system at all, but I been jones'in real bad and I can't stop myself.

I'm still working on it but at this point I think I'm going with a cheap Athenatech case. I'll post everything once I think I've got everything together. The specs say it's 7" high so the true 120 might just fit - especially if I give it a good lapping

Excellent!!! You have 41million points for majestic 12. I could look it up, but if you feel like telling me what that was about I'd be interested. Those are some serious numbers.

Cool, I'll have to try it out - just on principle. Google is over $700 per share - or it was yesterday - that's just obscene.

Congrats to ShootStright for passing 5 million in BOINC, and to WindForce for passing 3 million. That translates to more than 35 million and 21 million WCG points respectively.
