So...can anyone match me at 400x9 2:3 or 385x8 2:3 yet with CDT?
I've swapped my X2 6000+ cause it's going to be used for a WR attempt for a Sempron 2800+ 1.6ghz and a blistering 128kb L2 cache![]()

results of the tweak speak for themself.
Both stock runs with 680 maxmem and no pagefile used stil have to figure out where i can do that?![]()
Troman, let's not fool around....Gautam would not be considered impartial by some here.
You will probably receive the same atitude you give to the others.
Why doubting on what they think or not. You can just try it, the final truth is the one you know, and if youre able to reproduce the tweak or not depends on many factors on which I will not think you are cheating (if you reproduce it) or youre bad tweaker (if you cant).
People should try to give their best and believe on community.
I have always thought.... Why would you have to lie? (not exactly to you, but is a thought. I think you getit)
I think youre a reliable person, so, you try the tweak and if you cant do it, I will believe and not say anything against you.
Having neutral and un-neutral results is better to caompare than only neutral results. Finally, the more involved ones here are the non-neutral.
Greetings.![]()
Try 385x8 2:3 then, that should be easy. I'm just pulling old screenshots out since I don't have any hardware anymore, though I'll see if I can get something together if I have to.
Here's another one, just 555MHz 4-4-4, shouldn't take very high volts at all.

sorry for offtopic, but there were a couple of people mentioning eeprom tools to tweak memory performance.
spdtool is just as good as any hardware spd programmer to change subtimings. despite the common idea of some magic supersecret advanced subtimings, there are only around 30 timings stored in a modules spd. and thats including cas trcd trp tras trc trfc and all other well known timings, so there is very little if any room for improvement by tweaking an spd if your already tweaking the memory using the advanced settings in bios and memset. some people might ask what all those dozens of timings on dfi and other boards are, well those are chipset related timings, none of that information is stored in the memories spd.
tweaking spds mostly helps to work around compatibility problems with certain BIOSes and Mainboards.
BULL SHI(f)T.....![]()
I just have tested this "CDT Tweak" so to -firstly- be honest to myself....
Big bulls....![]()
OK....Here you go....
FIRST
Yorkfields don't gain much with Copy Waza or anything else like Core 2 Duo...We have to find some other tweaks for that - IF any -
SECOND
"CDT Tweak" for me, it was WORSE than a good Copy Waza....
NOW
I did 3 files of 633MB (does it matter that they were 633MB and not 632MB?)
I RAR them into one file and I got ~18xxMB....
....and then....bla, bla, bla, as the "CDT tweak" and/or elmor described....
Here are the results....ALL these were done with a bit relaxed ram timings - not to push to much my rams coz I need them for my benching - ....![]()
![]()
WITHOUT COPY WAZA...
WITH COPY WAZA ~4GB RAR FILE from D: to C: (into Super-Pi folder - C: = Super-Pi folder for me) C: to D: and D: to C: (cut - copy > see below)
WITH "CDT Tweak" ....
I believe that this "CDT Tweak" is a Copy Waza tweak but with another method....
SO NOTHING SPECIAL IN HERE....![]()
PLEASE TEST AND BE HONEST....
Make a Maxmem within msconfig AS YOU WISH - I use a 640MB maxmem -
Make a page file at D: of 384MB - 384MB....
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\PriorityControl and do the "Win32PrioritySeperation = 102 (you should put number "66" to show you "102"
Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management and do the ClearPageFileAtShutdown = 1
DisablePagingExecutive = 1 as well
SystemPages = 0
WriteWatch = 0
NOTHING ELSE
REBOOT
When you boot into windows make a BIG RAR file (from different files) of about ~4GB at D: Partition
REBOOT
NOW
Fix you frequency and Ram Timings as you wish and OPEN Super-Pi
RUN as much times the 16K to show you the LOWEST time and STOP THERE
Then PICK the 32M and STOP THERE...
OPEN Task Manager and look at the processes
OPEN C: and Super-Pi folder
OPEN D: and the BIG RAR's folder
CUT this BIG RAR file and PASTE into C: and Super-Pi's folder
THEN CUT it from in there once again and PASTE it into D: (where it was before)
NOW CUT it once again from D: and PASTE it into C: and Super-Pi's folder
During this process, you will see in task manager ALL the services loosing their KB.....This is due to copy procedure of the big file......
YOU NEED TO SEE the Super-Pi to be LESS than 250KB so to be ready...
Close those two windows (D: and C: ) and CLOSE task manager
WAIT UNTIL the HD Led STOPS blinking (it frees memory during blinking)
HIT the START button of the Super-Pi 32....
TEST without Copy Waza
TEST WITH Copy Waza
TEST with "CDT Tweak"
AND REPORT BACK WITH HONESTY...
.

sorry i didn't read it right
he sets pagefile 512-512 and 600 maxmem and was explaining reasoning behind the 600+32 files but he lost me with it all to be honest
i donno man this would be so much clearler if kev could do one of those 3oh6 type things mentioned in this thread.......it just seems there is something amiss right now![]()
OK, this time I rerun everything more carefully at day time with my eyes open![]()
Each run was done twice (I took the best runs but times were within 1-2 seconds max)
Here are results (no records or anything, just a tweak testing). As you can see CDT=CW here. Go figure, CDT needs more explanation or more precise instructions
No CW or CDT:
13:08.375
CW, 384 pf and 4GB file:
12:59.954
CDT:
12:59.938

...
could somebody make a quick clip or screenshot guide on how to do each tweak so we can be absolutely sure there are no misunderstandings and everybody followed the same procedure and not one person sets maxmem 600 and another one 633 etc![]()
I don't knowWho mentioned here that it is only 60% of CDT4 tweak? Need more info, need more precise instructions, reg tweaks, anything that benefits CDT (and not CW) etc...
