Ace if this was for me, yes I did the mod on the second board. Although I did re-use the TM pad on the PMW area. Unlike the first board I had 12 indentions in this pad. The temps are only a few decrees hotter than the first board that had Ceramique there. But my overclock results are exactly the same as the first board. Try to use higher voltages to get above 3.4 or so and things just shut down. I can run up to 3.0 at 1.2125. 3.2 takes 1.3125. 3.4 takes 1.4125 for Prime. Up to 1.4825 will hold Prime until the 32k tests, usually. Any higher vCore and the shut downs come much quicker. That is why I think it is the chip itself, 3.4 is just the limit for this one. different motherboards, 2 sets of Crucial, and 3 different psu's, all with the same results, 3.4 ghz. Now if someone wants to send me a different Quad to test my theory
