1200 on white slots = not stable. On blue slots = cannot boot up.
Tried with different vDimm, vNB (as high as 1.7v) and subtimings, still not stable.
My Teamgroup 6400 seem to do somewhat better with the same settings.
At least they have passed memtest 600% 1200 @2.2v.
It seems some kind of incompatibility

Let's hope ASUS fix it with a new BIOS release.

Speaking of which, does anyone have any kind of ETA on a new bios release?

okay, but you installed the asus monitoring app, yes? some of the other asus sutff off of mobo cd?

I just re-partitioned my HDD, i'll jsut toss on a quick copy and check it out, let ya know later what's up. Pretty sure it was eitehr ASUS AI suite or PC Probe that installed EPU driver.

And yes, JoeBar, very strange indeed. I should be able to pin it down tho, hopefully. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

sup fellas. Just a quick question.I just got my maximus and before i open it i would like to know if anyone is running a q6600 go on water at 4gig stable? Thats where im at on my x38 DQ6 atm. I hope it wont be like my asus p5k deluxe and not be able to run any of my 4 cpus at that speed. My p5k temps would sky rocket at 1.6vcore. It is the only mb i own that cant get the job done Well i said the heck with it and opened it LOL. Pick of my 2 rigs...sli on the left and crossfire on the right with my new maximus toy in the middle My POS evga 680i mobo rebooted right after i took the pic

i have cpupowermonitor and cpuleveluphelp running on start up. not sure if that has something to do with installing the cd or not. but, i did click on the ASUS InstALL thingy. so i'm pretty sure it's installed. i've got to head out right now but if there is a setting or something you guys want me to try just let me know. i'm only running mid 30's under load at 1.5v according to probe. just let me know.

Hey guys. I have had my Maximus for a few weeks now and I am wondering if you guys have the same problem? My 12v line in the bios and with ASUS probe both show my 12v power rail at 11.79-11.85. I have now tried both a PC Power & Colling 750 Quad and also my Silverstone DA750 both have the same problem. I have looked at other peoples screen shots of this board and most of them are showing 12v on there Asus Probe. Is it just not reading it right? Thanks for the help.

Can people post their successful OC settings here?

I just got my Maximus SE, a X3220 chip, and 2x1GB OCZ Reaper PC9200. I am now trying to push it. Everything is WCed.

I set every voltage to the highest "yellow" setting to begin with, CPU Vcore at 1.5, and DDR at 2.00 so I have some headroom. Is this a good idea, or should I leave most of it on auto?
Should I try pushing mem with a 1:1 divider, or should I go for a lower divider right away?

    Thanks!

Please explain.. What are your settings?

I can't get higher than 3.5Ghz with my X3220.. Does not seem to make a difference what speed I run mem at. Any suggestions? What volt do you guys give the SB and NB?

Just wanted to stop by and thank everyone for their contribution to this thread. I purchased this board the other day and it should arrive on Monday and all this info should help me with my initial set-up since it has yet to be fully reviewed by Eva over at i4memory yet.

Funny how I bag on ASUS boards but yet I keep buying them, .

Has anyone figured out the difference between the two revisions yet?

I have been trying to follow this thread for awhile now. I have not subscribed yet... now I have. I too have a Maximus Formula SE and things seem to be running smooth for the time being. The vdroop is a little much at .1v, I'm about to pencil mod it, but may just wait for a new bios. I look forward to reading about everyone's experiences with this board

By the way has anyone put the waterblock on the NB into their loop? After a couple days I decided to add it to mine and my overclocks have become MUCH more stable.

Anyone did some Dimm readouts @ this board for the "real" vcore/ Ram output compared with what is set @ bios?

from the ram its about .13 over what you set in bios, i think this may of been a tactic so that the board appears to over clock ram better or maybe just a screw up calibrating the voltages. for teh cpu i get about a .04 vdroop with a quad.
